Cosmico is a 40.8m motor yacht delivered by Italian shipyard Benetti in 2024. The yacht's exteriors have been penned by RWD, while Bonetti/Kozerski Architecture has designed her interiors.
Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 8.5m beam and a 2.14m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 385 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the eighteenth yacht built on the Oasis 40M design. Launched in April 2024 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was completed at Benetti's Livorno yard in Italy where she was commissioned and delivered to her owners in May 2024.
Exterior Design
The Oasis 40M stands out as a stylish semi-custom yacht with a dynamic profile characterized by a near-vertical bow, a high foredeck, and clean lines that extend to the graduating stern. Shell doors seamlessly provide access to tender and watercraft stowage, ensuring functionality without compromising aesthetics.
Onboard Cosmico, the bathing platform is both fixed and extensive, boasting side-opening balconies that further expand the width. A centrally located pool, with a clear glass end facing aft and accompanied by sun pads, creates a relaxing area on the teak deck. Ample seating within a smart teak surround on the slightly elevated deck section above ensures comfort, with plenty of space for sun loungers when the side wings are lowered. Additionally, an extension at the forefront of the platform facilitates ease of boarding right at the water level.
Access to the sheltered main deck aft is provided by twin stairways, with the exterior deck curvature offering shade and inbuilt cabinetry housing amenities such as a wet bar and BBQ grill for guest enjoyment. The wooden surround for the fairleads, along with the placement of mooring hardware on the quarter deck, adds a stylish touch to the yacht's exterior.
A large semi-circular entrance fully opens to create a seamless flow between the exterior deck space and the interior salon, leading through to the dining area. Full-height glazing floods the space with natural light, enhancing the overall ambiance. When fully open, the seamless flow throughout the space showcases one of Benetti Oasis's masterpieces. Illuminated at night, the deck spaces and stepways create a stunning visual.
The initial section of the foredeck accommodates essential anchoring equipment, followed by a slight elevation to an extensive guest seating area with flexible seating, both forward and aft facing. Wide side deck walkways provide access to the upper deck aft and further guest spaces. The upper deck aft of Cosmico offers a generous space with free-standing furniture and shade provided by the canopy of the sun deck.
The sun deck is accessed via a staircase on the starboard side and features forward-facing sun pads curving around an elevated circular jacuzzi. Under the canopy of the radar mast, cabinets built-in on both sides provide a wet bar, BBQ grill, and other services for guests enjoying the socializing space. A large dining table, appreciating the shade provided by the canopy, invites guests to dine alfresco. Sun loungers are featured further aft, completing the inviting layout of the sun deck.
Interior Design
Benetti brought the design partnership of Bonetti/Kozerski Architecture to the forefront of the yachting world, entrusting them with their Oasis 40M range. Their goal was to evoke relaxed comfort reminiscent of the elegant open space of a trendy loft, infused with chic and minimalist elegance. The yacht Cosmico underwent extensive customization to meet the owner's exacting specifications.
In this tailored approach, to crafting Cosmico to perfection for her owners, walnut was chosen as an alternative to rosewood, while leather-clad panels replaced the original gloss lacquered paneling. Additionally, oak boards were selected to replace teak for the interior flooring.
Accommodation
Cosmico offers accommodation for up to 10 guests in 5 suites comprising an owners cabin located on the main deck. She is also capable of carrying up to 9 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel MAN (V12-1400) 12-cylinder 1,400hp engines running at 2300rpm, motor yacht Cosmico is capable of reaching a top speed of 16 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots. With her 45,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,000 nautical miles.
