Fresh from making its debut at the Genoa Boat Show last month striking new images of REBECA, the first hull of its new Benetti Oasis range, the 40M series, have revealed how the 40m (131’) superyacht has rewritten the rules of design with her expansive beach club and wide-open layout.
The exterior styling by UK based RWD merges Italian refinement with classic British lines, whilst the flowing and linear interiors are the work of Bonetti/Kozerski Architecture. Traditionally known for land based architecture the New York based company are making their debut in the yachting world and bring in fresh ideas and design solutions to create unique spaces on board.
Extending across four decks the model is made entirely of fibreglass and has a 385GT. She can accommodate ten guests across her five cabins, and also has accommodation for seven crew members.
If you are considering buying an OASIS 40M there is no doubt what will probably catch your eye first - the spectacular multifunctional beach area.
If you are considering buying an OASIS 40M there is no doubt what will probably catch your eye first - the spectacular multifunctional beach area. With the two side wings folded down it offers 90 square meters of open space and is a beach club of the size you would expect to find on much larger yachts for sale.
Your attention will then most likely be drawn to the center point of this stunning area - an infinity pool offering seven square meters of surface area and again an amenity rarely found on a yacht this size. The pool sits almost at water level, with a hydraulic swim platform on hand for those looking to jump in and cool off. The beach club is also flanked by large sun loungers on the fold down wings and a plush C-shaped sofa and table.
Also noticeable about this area, aside from the huge volume of space, is that it is totally and utterly open. Once you step outside of the large curved glass door from the lounge, there is nothing that impedes your view of the horizon. Even stairways to the upper decks are accessed from the side walkways or inside the yacht, giving you complete freedom to enjoy this beautiful area.
Elsewhere there is also a large aft deck seating arrangement on the upper deck and it is crowned by a sun deck that is dominated by a big rectangular table seating 12, a circular Jacuzzi in the bow and an infinity bar with four seats in the stern offering possibly the best views on the boat.
Clever use of muted colors and materials like teak, rosewood and white lacquer mean the interiors are bright and reflective to emphasise the seamless transition when moving inside.
The theme of open spaces is continued inside to the minimalist interiors. You will immediately notice how the extensive glazed surfaces and large glass doors deliberately blur the boundaries between indoor and outdoor spaces.
Clever use of muted colors and materials like teak, rosewood and white lacquer mean the interiors are bright and reflective to emphasise the seamless transition when moving inside. To accentuate the feeling even further the materials and colors used on the exterior decks have been brought into the interior settings as well.
Inside Benetti has designed a number of layouts for the area depending upon the Owners’ needs. The first unit, REBECA, has a lounge and dining area with a sophisticated bar cabinet behind the forward wall. The shipyard also offers a version in which the dining area is replaced by a large American bar, merging perfectly with the expansive outdoor spaces to great a large area for socializing and parties.
On the upper deck another the wheelhouse has been reimagined from a technical area solely for the Captain and crew to a space where guests can truly enjoy the cruising experience thanks a radical design of 180 degree, full height windows and comfortable seating for six.
Elsewhere the skylounge has a cinema space with a lounge and a more informal dining area.
The master suite is exquisitely detailed and has a lounge area on one side and a night area on the other.
The superyacht offers accommodation for ten guests in five cabins. Each cabin continues the theme that pervades the rest of the interior, they are light, airy and beautifully designed.
The master suite is exquisitely detailed and has a lounge area on one side and a night area on the other. Once again large full height windows on both sides make natural light an integral feature of the design. The remainder of the accommodation is equally well appointed and is made up of a VIP suite, two doubles and one double/twin convertible with a Pullman berth.
Powered by two MAN V12 engines, the Oasis 40M has a top speed of 18 knots and cruising speed of 11 knots and a range of 4,000 nautical miles.
With a groundbreaking design and a natural synergy between indoor and outdoor spaces REBECA is highly customizable and perfect for outdoor living. If you are interested in making a purchase, you can take a look at all the Benetti 40M Oasis models for sale.
