Equinox X is a 24.7m motor yacht for sale delivered by Chinese shipyard Cheoy Lee in 2004. Her exterior design comes from the drawing boards of Tom Fexas Yacht Design.

Design & Construction

Designed around a planing GRP hull and superstructure she features a 6.4m beam and a 1.7m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 128 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Exterior Design

Starting at the swim platform, there is a large locker designed to store various water toys, including snorkeling gear and life vests. This area leads up to the main cockpit, which offers bench seating extending to the starboard side, along with additional storage underneath.

The side decks are accessible from both sides of the main salon, allowing easy movement from the bow to the stern. The bow area is equipped with storage compartments and a sun pad area with a small awning for shade. The anchor chain and a washdown system are also located here for anchoring tasks.

Above, the bridge deck houses a crane for launching and retrieving water toys or a tender, and it has space for jet skis and an industrial ice maker.

Equinox X sports a classic white color for both the hull and superstructure, offering a timeless and clean appearance. The black boot top and below-the-waterline color create a striking contrast against the white, adding to its visual appeal. The straightforward design emphasizes functionality and durability while maintaining a sleek and modern look.

Interior Design

Upon entering the main salon, guests are welcomed by a spacious and comfortable sofa, complemented by a TV mounted on the opposite wall. The room benefits from a substantial beam of 21 feet and one inch, which provides a wide and open atmosphere. A bar area serves this space, equipped with a large fridge and additional storage, making it ideal for hosting and entertaining.

Adjacent to the main salon is the dining area, which offers ample space for meals. Nearby, a spiral staircase provides access to both the upper and lower decks. The day head is conveniently located on this level, ensuring easy access for guests.

The galley is designed in a country kitchen style, enhancing its open and welcoming feel. It features a full-size American-style refrigerator, a microwave, an oven, and a large double sink. A full-size Miele dishwasher is also included, ensuring the galley is well-equipped for all culinary needs. The adjacent dinette seating area is perfect for casual dining.

Moving to the helm, it is equipped with essential navigational tools, including a chart plotter, camera system, and compass. The captain's chair provides a comfortable vantage point for navigation. The space also functions as a mini sky lounge, complete with an L-shaped seating area and a table suitable for dining or relaxation. Additional amenities include a TV that pops up from the cabinetry, a sink, and a refrigerator.

Accommodation

Equinox X offers comfortable accommodations for up to eight guest in a total of four cabins.

The master cabin occupies the full beam of the yacht, this cabin includes a king-sized bed, built-in drawers, and a cedar-lined walk-in closet. Additional storage is available behind a panel, and a TV is mounted on the wall for entertainment. A separate dressing table or desk area and another closet provide further convenience. The ensuite bathroom features a sink, toilet, and a separate shower stall.

The VIP cabin offers a cozy retreat with its own ensuite bathroom. This cabin includes a dedicated dressing area, complete with drawers and a cedar-lined closet, ensuring guests have ample storage space.

Two additional guest cabins are available. One cabin features a double bed and ensuite bathroom. The other cabin includes two single beds and an ensuite, making it ideal for accommodating children or additional guests. Both cabins have closets that are cedar-lined to protect clothing and other items.

Equinox X is configured to accommodate a crew of two, with the option to convert one of the guest cabins into a captain's cabin if a third crew member is needed. The designated crew cabin features two single beds and an ensuite bathroom, ensuring the crew's comfort and privacy.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (3412E) 1,450hp engines, motor yacht Equinox X is capable of reaching a top speed of 23 knots, and comfortably cruises at 18 knots. With her 9,085 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 1,750 nautical miles at an economic speed of 10 knots. Her planing hull design means she is fast and efficient as she slices through the water.
