Design & Construction
Designed around a full displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 27'11" beam and a 13'1" draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 191 GT (Gross Tonnes).
The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in April 2014 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in August 2014.
Exterior Design
Escapade presents a sleek and powerful profile from the plumb bow to the two-step repeating arcs of the raised pilothouse and hardtop cockpit bimini. The champagne-and-black color scheme, chosen to match the owner's Bentley GT convertible, adds a distinctive visual appeal.
The foredeck features a trampoline and Jacuzzi, providing spaces for relaxation and recreation. The aft deck includes a pop-up exercise bicycle, catering to the owner's commitment to healthy living. The cockpit, which serves as the primary dining area, is spacious and well-protected, allowing for al fresco dining in various weather conditions.
Interior Design
The interior design of Escapade reflects a contemporary eclectic style with strong Malaysian influences. The main salon is furnished with settees upholstered in earthy tan and plum leather, arranged around twin coffee tables. These tables feature surfaces made from natural agate, known for its intense depth and translucent properties, which are also used in backlit panels at the bar opposite the seating area.
The galley is designed to be both functional and visually stimulating. The cabinetry is finished in high-gloss lacquer, matching the hull's champagne color. This is contrasted by striking crimson backsplash and refrigerator doors. Granite countertops, an island sink and serving station, and carbon fiber herb pots contribute to an efficient workspace designed to inspire culinary creativity.
The helm stations are raised to provide excellent visibility and are equipped with push-button controls for sails, engine, and thrusters. Navigation and systems monitoring are displayed on four touchscreen displays. The custom three-spoke carbon helm wheels offer precise control through five separate steering modes, ensuring a realistic feedback for the helmsman.
Throughout the yacht, the use of natural materials is evident. Individually selected stones such as verde bamboo, wild chianti, and agate mineral are used as statement features. Walnut and limed oak are the primary materials, with the raised bookmatched grain running horizontally. Merbau hardwood floors and leather upholstery add to the overall aesthetic. Hand-selected Italian marble is used in various areas, each featuring a different shade of soft green.
Accommodation
Escapade offers accommodation for up to 10 guests in four suites. The master stateroom, located aft, spans the full beam of the yacht. It features a walk-in wardrobe, a separate shoe closet, a desk, and a large centerline bed. The en-suite bathroom, equipped with a steam shower, is designed without a door to maintain an open and luxurious feel, though a door can be reinstated if privacy is required. The stateroom also includes a settee and a chaise longue, providing space for relaxation without the need to remake the bed.
Two additional guest suites flank the central companionway. Each suite features a double bed that can be converted into twin beds, plus a Pullman berth, allowing for flexible sleeping arrangements. These cabins are designed with noise insulation in mind, ensuring a quiet and restful environment.
She is also capable of carrying up to six crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
