  • 20-square-metre bathing platform
  • Master suite with study
  • Understated luxury interior design

Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 33'10" beam and a 11'1" draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 857 GT (Gross Tonnes).

The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards.

Exterior Design

Hurricane Run's design is characterized by intricate angles and curves contained within a sleek silhouette that echoes the robustness of its construction. This nautical masterpiece extends its grandeur with a relatively long foredeck, accentuated by an anthracite grey band that delicately separates the white-painted superstructure levels, lending a dynamic visual appeal to the yacht's profile.

Attention to detail is evident in the sharpness of the cap rails and bulwark edges, a subtle yet distinctive feature. This precision in design is not only an aesthetic choice but also a reflection of the craftsmanship inherent in every aspect of Hurricane Run's construction.

The semi-enclosed sun deck and the bridge deck aft emerge as fully-fledged entertainment areas, each thoughtfully designed to cater to large gatherings and intimate celebrations alike. The flexibility in dining options is highlighted by the formal dining arrangement, with a 12-seater dining table complemented by additional al fresco dining spaces on the bridge deck and sun deck, accommodating 12 and 20 guests respectively.

In a transformative feat of engineering, the yacht's stern unfurls to reveal a 20-square-metre bathing platform at the touch of a switch. This design not only provides a watersports arena but also serves as an entry point for guests arriving by tender. The decision to omit direct access from the bathing platform to the stern garage was deliberate, enhancing privacy and maintaining an air of exclusivity for guests on board.

Hurricane Run's interior is more than just a space; it's a curated experience, resulting in an environment of unparalleled luxury and comfort, where every detail contributes to the yacht's thoroughbred status.

Interior Design

Designed by the renowned Terence Disdale, the Hurricane Run's interior is a masterclass in understated luxury, utilizing a palette restricted to blacks, creams, and various shades of grey, which serves to create a serene and sophisticated atmosphere. Floors laid with grey limestone provide a cool, elegant foundation, while walls adorned with woven panels and lacquered ceiling inserts impart depth and complexity to each room. Disdale's design philosophy is evident in the meticulous attention to detail, from the rippled leather wall coverings to the stainless steel cylinders cloaked in stained and lacquered goatskin.

The main saloon is a prime example of functional elegance, designed primarily as an 'evening room' where guests can unwind in the expansive area, transformed by the relocation of the main staircase to the starboard side entrance. The saloon boasts vast sofas and a cinematic ambiance, with dedicated lighting modes that shift the room's mood at the touch of a button. Blackout blinds descend, and a large television emerges, creating the perfect environment for a movie night.

Artistic elements are not just confined to the furniture and fittings. Hurricane Run hosts an impressive collection of artwork, the only source of color in an otherwise neutral setting, providing striking visual focal points throughout the yacht.

Accommodation

The accommodation onboard Hurricane Run is thoughtfully arranged to host up to 12 guests in six cabins. The master suite, located in a forward position on the main deck, includes a private study, providing a place of tranquility for business matters. The suite is further complemented by twin shower rooms connected by a central dressing area, which highlights the yacht's generous beam and provides an abundance of space for personal preparation.

On the lower deck, guests will find four guest suites. The interior style of these suites reflects Hurricane Run's overall decorative theme, with a palette limited to subdued shades that promote a restful atmosphere. Every guest cabin is equipped with a spacious en-suite, ensuring privacy and convenience. The en-suites are finished with the highest quality materials and fixtures, bespoke to Hurricane Run.

For added versatility, the yacht includes a gymnasium that can be converted into a twin cabin, suitable for staff or additional family members. This space, like all others aboard Hurricane Run, is equipped with en-suite facilities, maintaining the high standard of comfort found throughout the vessel. The gymnasium's potential dual use demonstrates the yacht's dedication to accommodating guests' diverse needs and preferences.

The crew aboard Hurricane Run is also well-catered for, with dedicated accommodation for up to 13 that ensures the highest levels of service and operation.

Performance & Capabilities

Hurricane Run is a true embodiment of power and elegance on the water. Underneath its sophisticated exterior and luxurious interior lies a robust engine configuration designed to deliver exceptional performance. The installation of the yacht's twin 3512 Caterpillar diesels is a testament to the dedication to quality and reliability. These powerful engines ensure that Hurricane Run can achieve a top speed of 15 knots, providing the perfect blend of tranquility and thrill for those aboard. With her 101,000 fuel tanks, she has a maximum range of 4,500 nautical miles at 12 knots.

The yacht's mechanical prowess is further enhanced by its advanced C9 generators, which ensure a continuous supply of electricity to all onboard systems, including the state-of-the-art entertainment and lighting configurations by Van Berge Henegouwen and the comprehensive electrical systems designed by Imtech. This combination of high-performance power and generators means that Hurricane Run is equipped to undertake extensive voyages with confidence and comfort, boasting a considerable range that allows her to navigate vast stretches of ocean without the need for frequent refueling stops.

In terms of stability and comfort, even at sea, Hurricane Run is outfitted with cutting-edge stabilizers. These systems effectively minimize the roll of the yacht, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for guests, regardless of sea conditions. The stabilizers play a critical role in enhancing the overall safety and comfort, making long passages as pleasant as time spent anchored in a serene bay.

The exterior of Hurricane Run is a harmonious blend of form and function, aesthetic grace, and cutting-edge design, ensuring that she stands out as a paragon of contemporary yachting luxury.
