Design & Construction
Designed around a full displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 29'4" beam and a 9'2" draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 456 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Construction started in mid 2006. This was the eleventh yacht built on the Vision 145' design. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. She was completed at Benetti's Viareggio yard in Italy where she was commissioned and delivered to her owners in August 2009.
Exterior Design
The bridge deck offers additional seating and a well-equipped helm station. The Portuguese Bridge provides safe and easy access for the crew to navigate the yacht. The sundeck is designed for leisure, featuring an outdoor dining area, a bar with an ice maker and fridge, and a hot tub. The wide and gently sloping staircases enhance accessibility, making movement between decks straightforward and safe.
The aft deck is expansive, providing ample space for relaxation and social gatherings. It includes a large table and bench seating, with stairs leading up to the bridge deck. The transom wall folds down to reveal a tender garage and a sizable storage area.
In terms of color, Groover's hull is finished in a classic white, complementing the similarly colored superstructure. The deck is made from teak, a material known for its resilience and aesthetic appeal. The bow of the yacht is raked, enhancing its hydrodynamic efficiency and giving it a streamlined appearance.
Interior Design
Upon entering the main salon, the use of custom-selected materials is immediately evident. The large bar area features a sink, fridges, and ice makers, providing ample space for entertaining guests. The main salon seating area is thoughtfully arranged and includes a study area in place of a dining room. This area is equipped with a TV that rises up when needed, maintaining a clean and organized look when not in use.
Moving forward, the main foyer is equipped with double doors leading to the side deck. Notably, the yacht features an elevator, a rare amenity for a vessel of this size, providing easy access between decks. The day head in this area adds convenience for guests.
The galley includes Miele appliances, a large window in front of the double sink offering an impressive view, and extensive built-in storage. The layout ensures that the crew can work efficiently, with multiple prep areas and cold storage options. The galley connects to the rest of the yacht via a secondary staircase and a side access door, allowing the crew to move about without disrupting the main living spaces.
On the bridge deck, the helm station is well-equipped with all necessary monitoring systems and controls. The captain's office is adjacent to this area, providing a functional workspace. The design ensures that all essential electrical panels and breakers are easily accessible.
The Sky Lounge on the bridge deck is both comfortable and practical, with a well-stocked bar and a dining area that can be opened up to the elements. Floor-to-ceiling glass doors slide back to create an alfresco dining experience. This area includes a prep space with a microwave, fridge, and sink.
Accommodation
Groover can comfortably host a total of twelve guests across its well-appointed cabins. The master suite is located on the main deck and includes a spacious king-sized bed, a walk-in closet, and two en-suites. One en-suite features a large tub with a view, while the other includes a rainfall shower. The suite also has a private office area and wrap-around windows with automatic blinds.
Below the main deck, there are four further cabins. Both queen cabins feature large windows, a desk, a TV, and an en-suite bathroom. The twin cabin is equipped with two single beds and an additional Pullman berth, accommodating up to three guests. The gym space was originally designed as a guest cabin and features an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower and a wine rack.
Groover is also capable of carrying up to nine crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
