Oid is a 44.06m motor yacht for sale delivered by Italian shipyard Benetti in 2020. The yacht's elegant exterior design is by Giorgio M. Cassetta, while her interiors are the work of Benetti Style Department.

Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 9.05m beam and a 2.28m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 471 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Construction started in late 2017. This was the first yacht built on the Diamond 44M design. Launched in January 2020 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in July 2020.

Exterior Design

Giorgio M. Cassetta's work on the yacht Oid emphasizes clean lines and practical features. The yacht's superstructure is streamlined, with high hull sides and a reverse sheer line that extends across its length. Large glazed surfaces enhance the impression of length and allow ample natural light to penetrate the interior spaces.

The balance of light and dark-colored volumes creates a visually appealing silhouette. Traditional materials like teak, steel, and glass are used throughout the exterior, contributing to a sophisticated appearance. The outdoor stairway on the left side is designed for functionality, providing direct access from the entry point to the top of the Sun Deck.

The layout has been optimized for practicality, with a focus on maximizing both exterior and interior spaces. The Sun Deck, spanning 102 square meters, offers a comfortable setting with a sofa and dining area in the fore and a relaxation zone aft. The Upper Deck features a pool and the pilothouse.

Full-width sliding glass doors in the transom lead to a beach area equipped with sofas and a bar, ensuring easy access to the sea. This section is designed to minimize the separation between indoor and outdoor spaces, with only a small step differentiating the two areas. The garage is strategically positioned on the side to avoid interference with guest activities and can house a tender, jet skis, and various water toys.

Interior Design

The interior spaces are characterized by a combination of lighter and darker shades, incorporating materials like oak wood, carbon, burnished brass, and various types of marble such as Grey Stone and Silk Georgette.

At the helm, the yacht features a Light Bridge console with a carbon fiber structure, enhancing both lightweight and strength. This advanced helm station provides improved visibility for the captain and crew, with electronic devices conveniently located in a dedicated storage area on the Main Deck. This arrangement maximizes space and freedom of movement within the wheelhouse.

The main living room, located amidships, is designed with a dining table and relaxation area that leads to an outdoor space at the stern. Here, guests can enjoy a comfortable setting with a series of sofas and a table. The design ensures that natural light floods into the space through large glazed surfaces, enhancing the connection between indoor and outdoor environments.

The yacht's design allows for a fluid transition between interior and exterior spaces, with full-width sliding glass doors in the transom opening to an outdoor beach area. 

Accommodation

The yacht Oid offers accommodation for up to 10 guests, spread across five cabins. The accommodations include an expansive, full-beam owner's suite located on the Main Deck, covering approximately 60 square meters. This suite features a large bathroom, a spacious walk-in wardrobe, and a separate office area leading into the master bedroom.

On the Lower Deck, guests will find four additional cabins. These consist of two VIP cabins with double beds and two cabins with twin beds, which can be converted into double beds if needed. Each cabin is equipped with its own bathroom, providing en-suite convenience.

Crew accommodations are also thoughtfully designed, with five cabins accommodating a crew of nine, includinga cabin for the captain. 

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MAN (12V) 12-cylinder 1,400hp engines running at 2300rpm, motor yacht Oid is capable of reaching a top speed of 15 knots, and comfortably cruises at 14 knots. With her 60,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 5,000 nautical miles at an economic speed of 11 knots.

Amenities

Ensuring everyone on board can enjoy the water to the fullest, luxury yacht Oid offers a large beach club connected to a swim platform, with plenty of space for lounging and soaking up the sea views. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. Crowning the yacht is a spacious sundeck with an inviting spread of sunpads.
