Delivered in 2014, Flynn's Folly III is a 24.38m motor yacht built by American shipyard Hatteras. Her interior design, exterior styling and naval architecture come from the drawing boards of Hatteras' in-house design team.

Design & Construction

Designed around a semi-displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 6.48m beam and a 1.73m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 127 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the forty-fourth yacht built on the Hatteras 80 design.

Exterior Design

Flynn's Folly III's hull is finished in a clean white color, matching the superstructure for a cohesive and understated appearance. This choice of color not only enhances visibility but also contributes to a classic and timeless look. The deck incorporates a combination of GRP and teak, providing a balance between robustness and traditional nautical aesthetics.

Flynn's Folly III's aft deck features a high gloss table surrounded by seating, complemented by small side access doors on each side. Stairs from the aft deck lead up to the upper deck.

On the upper deck, there are three helm chairs and various seating areas. A bar with an ice maker and fridge is strategically placed for convenience. The deck also includes a hot tub and space for loungers, which can be customized. A crane is available for storing jet skis or a tender. The swim platform is accessible from the transom door, leading down to the crew area and engine room.

Interior Design

Upon entering through the rounded glass doors, visitors are greeted by high gloss wood finishes that add a touch of refinement to the spacious seating area. The saloon is designed for both relaxation, with a TV mounted on the wall and a drop-down bar area equipped with chairs, a refrigerator, and a sink for serving drinks.

Moving forward, the formal dining area is another highlight, distinguished by intricate ceiling details that create a pleasant ambiance. The open-concept galley is well-equipped to meet all culinary needs. It includes a wine fridge, full-size refrigerator and freezer, oven, cooktop, microwave, dishwasher, and a double sink. The kitchen also features additional dining space and side access doors on both sides, providing easy access to the bow.

Accommodation

Flynn's Folly III offers accommodations for up to nine guests within four staterooms. The master cabin is situated midship. It is equipped with a king-sized bed, extensive built-in storage, and cedar-lined closets. The ensuite bathroom is well-appointed, featuring dual sinks, two toilets, and a spacious shower area.

Located fully forward, the first guest cabin includes a double bed, a cedar-lined closet, and an ensuite bathroom. The second guest cabin offers a double bed with an additional single bunk above, making it suitable for a variety of guest arrangements. It also includes an ensuite bathroom. Similar to the second guest cabin, the final guest cabin is designed with a double bed and an ensuite bathroom.

Flynn's Folly III is also equipped to carry up to two crew. The crew area includes a captain's cabin with a larger bed and closet space. The crew shares a bathroom and has access to a washer and dryer. 

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C-32) 1,600hp engines, motor yacht Flynn's Folly III is capable of reaching a top speed of 30 knots, and comfortably cruises at 24 knots. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.
