Summertime II is a 116' motor yacht delivered by American shipyard Hatteras in 1997. The yacht's exteriors have been penned by Jack Hargrave, while Palmer Johnson has designed her interiors.

Key Features

  • Alfresco dining on aft and upper decks
  • Ample exterior decks with sunbathing spots
  • Formal dining with striking lighting fixture
  • Accommodates eight guests in four staterooms

Design & Construction

Designed around a semi-displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 24' beam and a 6'10" draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 221 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Exterior Design

The white hull and superstructure of Summertime II offer a sleek side profile, with occasional port holes ensuring natural light reaches the lower deck interiors. A noticeable strake and black bootstrap add visual interest along the sides.

To enhance visibility from the main deck salon, the top sides are stylishly cut away at an angle and three gunwale openings further open this section. Glazing is vertical and plentiful.

Between the deck levels, the superstructure is angled on the quarter decks with a grooved section that presents a subtle forward-leaning appearance. The bridge deck forward follows a continuous angle towards the flybridge section where the radar mast is situated towards the aft of the uppermost deck. The stern is sharply angled with twin curved staircases leading to the short bathing platform.

The ample deck spaces provide various sunbathing spots and alfresco dining opportunities. The seating arrangements are upholstered in a nautical shade of navy blue, adding a simple yet effective touch to the overall aesthetic.

The upper deck features a firepit and lounge seating, creating a cozy area for evening relaxation. Alfresco dining options are available on both the aft deck and the upper deck, providing flexible choices for outdoor meals. For those who enjoy sunbathing, the flybridge is equipped with three sunpads, while an additional large sunpad is located on the bow.

Interior Design

The interiors of Summertime II, crafted by Palmer-Johnson, embody a timeless and sophisticated aesthetic. Linear designs on ceiling panels create focal points within the space. Furnishings and carpets, in muted creams and soft yellows, complement the darker wood cabinetry and trim. Ribbed columns and cabinetry separate the main salon from the circular dining table, where guests can enjoy formal dining under stylish Art Deco-inspired lighting. A sleek curved open-tread staircase serves as a standout feature for guest access throughout the yacht.

Bathrooms showcase beautiful cabinetry and nature-inspired murals, enhanced by strategically placed large mirrors that reflect light throughout the space.

Accommodation

Summertime II offers accommodation for up to eight guests in four suites comprising an owner's cabin, two double cabins, and one twin cabin. There is flexibility within the cabin layout of the yacht, offering the option to convert the sky lounge into a fifth cabin as needed. The yacht can carry up to six crew onboard to ensure full guest service.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by triple diesel Caterpillar (3412C) 1,350hp engines, motor yacht Summertime II is capable of reaching a top speed of 17 knots, and comfortably cruises at 14 knots. With her 24,796-litre fuel tanks, she has a maximum range of 2,500 nautical miles at 11 knots. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed. In preparation for sale in early 2024, the engines had top-end rebuilds completed.
