Seakid II is an award winning 56m motor yacht delivered by Italian shipyard Benetti in 2013. Her interior design and exterior styling comes from the drawing boards of Central Yacht, while Benetti is responsible for her naval architecture.

Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 10.6m beam and a 3.55m draft. The yacht is built over 4 decks with an internal volume of 962 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Construction started in early 2011. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in May 2013 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in September 2013.

Exterior Design

The thoughtful consideration given to Seakid's design is evident in the choice of the cream hull color, named Moondust. Selected by the owner after being captivated by a model painted in this subtle yet luxurious shade, the Moondust hue is complemented by a white superstructure and striking black strips of tinted windows, which offer a stark and sophisticated contrast. These windows are not only flush for sleekness but also serve a practical purpose by maximizing interior spaces and simplifying the cleaning process, both inside and out. Safety, too, is enhanced by the inclusion of subtle footholds integrated into the structure, which aid the crew in their maintenance duties.

Seakid's exterior styling extends beyond her visual appeal, with every feature carefully crafted to enhance the onboard experience. The aft sun deck is crowned with a structural loop, ingeniously engineered to support a pavilion-style tent that shades the dining area, while integrated lighting in the superstructure sets a relaxed mood for evening entertainment. This area is also home to a thoughtfully designed spa pool, cleverly separated from the dining table by a glass screen to prevent splash-over while simultaneously maintaining an open feel. The pool's unique fiberglass construction ingeniously incorporates the overflow tank into the seating, eliminating the bulkiness of traditional designs.

Seakid is a masterclass in yacht design, where every aspect serves a purpose, whether to elevate the guest experience, ensure operational efficiency or maintain the yacht's classic look.

Interior Design

An Asian-inspired motif is evident throughout the yacht, with a palette that favors light woods such as birch and limed oak, accented by neutral tones, and splashes of greens and yellows in the carpets and glassware. These elements work in concert to create a serene and inviting atmosphere for guests. Adding to the richness of the interior, touches of gold, as seen in the painted leather wall art in the dining area, and the use of various marbles in the dayheads, lobbies, and en suites, infuse a sense of luxury and opulence befitting a vessel of Seakid's stature.

Aboard Seakid, the guest experience is paramount, and the layout has been designed with privacy and comfort in mind. For instance, the entrance hall in the VIP suite and the sitting room in the owner's suite are strategically arranged to shield the beds from view upon entry. Additionally, the VIP's forward terrace is designed to remain concealed from the crew's private foredeck, ensuring utmost privacy for the guests.

The design philosophy of Seakid extends beyond the visible aesthetics to encompass the practicalities of yacht life. Bright, open spaces are a priority, with the massage room, situated between the two suites and separated from the lobby by glass, allowing natural light to flood the area. This thoughtful approach to space and light promotes a sense of openness and connectivity throughout the yacht.

Moreover, the design of Seakid is not only about creating beautiful spaces but also about enhancing the crew's ability to provide impeccable service. The interior layout is developed with technical and operational efficiency in mind. Seakid's interior design is characterized by its understated elegance, with a refined color scheme that varies from simple and neutral in the lower deck guest cabins to more ornate and decorative in the main and VIP suites.

Accommodation

Seakid II offers accommodation for up to twelve guests across six beautifully appointed cabins.

Guests are invited to retreat into the serenity of the full-beam master suite, brilliantly located on the upper deck aft to leverage both privacy and panoramic views. This suite features lavish furnishings and a sumptuous en suite bathroom. The thoughtful placement of the master suite affords guests the smoothest possible ride, minimizing the impact of the yacht's movements while underway.

Adjacent to the master suite, the upper deck also houses a VIP cabin. This VIP cabin is expansive and equally luxurious, providing guests with an exclusive terrace to enjoy breathtaking vistas in seclusion. The configuration of the salon between the owner's and VIP cabin offers a versatile space that can either be a shared area or part of a larger private apartment, depending on the guests' preferences.

On the lower deck, four additional guest cabins are situated, each designed to the highest standard of luxury and comfort. These cabins are carefully crafted to accommodate guests in an atmosphere of refined elegance, with each featuring its own distinct character and style. The attention to detail is evident in the fine materials and finishes, as well as the state-of-the-art entertainment systems integrated into each stateroom.

Crew accommodation on the Seakid has been designed with operational efficiency and crew welfare in mind. Benetti's expertise in maximizing space and comfort is reflected in the crew quarters, ensuring that the professional crew of up to 13 can maintain the highest standards of service while enjoying their own dedicated spaces. Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MTU (12V 4000 M53) 12-cylinder 1,770hp engines running at 1800rpm, motor yacht Seakid II is capable of reaching a top speed of 17 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots. With her 130,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 5,000 nautical miles at 12 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters.

Yes, she has subtle design cues here and there in her exterior lines that hint at the background of her knowledgeable design and build team, but it only when you step on board that you realise quite how innovative she is
