Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 34'9" beam and a 9'6" draft. The yacht is built over 4 decks with an internal volume of 1,188 GT (Gross Tonnes).
The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. She was delivered to her owners in September 2019.
Exterior Design
The exterior design of Life Saga II is a masterful blend of classic and modern aesthetics, showcasing an athletic character. This luxury yacht exudes a distinct charm that is both captivating and sophisticated. The muscular, sculpted mast, which is a piece of art by itself, adds to the overall innovative design. The idea behind the mast's design was to mimic the shape of two cupped hands that meet at the knuckles but do not touch.
From the outside, Life Saga II bears a resemblance to a previous Admiral boat, Ouranos, which was launched in 2016. Both have double-height glass at the center of the superstructure, with the side decks removed to offer unobstructed views. This design approach results in an unusual exterior profile, featuring a swath of black glazing as a wide stripe down the middle of each side. The full-length windows are treated as you would see in a skyscraper; seamless and providing a panoramic view of the surrounding seascape.
Despite the similarities, Life Saga II is not a sister ship to Ouranos. At 65 meters and 1,188 gross tonnes, Life Saga II is 15 meters longer and boasts four decks, offering more than twice the volume of Ouranos.
The owner of Life Saga II has always desired a yacht that combines classic and modern forms, exhibiting an athletic character. This vision has been realized in a yacht that is not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional, and perfectly adapted to the owner's preference for outdoor living.
The exterior design of Life Saga II stands as a testament to the owner's particular brief: "Zero showing off and totally functional." This has resulted in a yacht that pushes the boundaries of conventional yacht design, offering a unique and personalized maritime experience. The design seamlessly blends the interior and exterior, creating a sense of unity and continuity that enhances the overall appeal of this magnificent vessel.
Interior Design
The interior design of Life Saga II is a remarkable blend of contemporary aesthetics, practicality, and a subtle nod to Eastern influences. The brain behind this artistic vision is renowned UK designer, Mark Berryman, whose philosophy of creating a 'home away from home' is clearly evident throughout the yacht.
The interior of Life Saga II harmoniously brings together a wide array of warm, neutral tones with soft, textured fabrics. Drawing inspiration from the color palette of a cappuccino, the yacht’s design employs a rich blend of chocolate and coffee-colored leathers, beautifully complementing the warm tones of European oak, teak, and walnut used throughout the yacht.
Berryman's penchant for Japanese design is subtly incorporated in the interior. The use of wooden batten details, circular motifs in the headboards, and strong stitching on leather wall panels evoke an unmistakable sense of Asian-inspired serenity. The leather, often distressed for a casual feel, is expected to age gracefully, further enhancing the yacht's timeless appeal.
Notably, the owner's suite, Berryman's favorite area, stands out with its striking pillars adorned with a metal finish and covered in glass, creating the effect of molten rock. The full-height windows on either side of the suite offer awe-inspiring views, while the off-center bed placement, forward bathroom, and the added seating area offer an open and airy feel.
The interior also reflects the owner's dislike for duplication, with only one dining table present in the entire yacht, a rarity for a vessel of this size. Furthermore, the owner's preference for rooms that can transform is manifested in the use of Italian-designed loose furniture that can be rearranged daily to create a fresh setup.
In terms of functionality, the interior design caters to the owner's preferences, such as his inclination to avoid smells, noise, and vibration. This necessitated placing the galley on the lower deck and employing Van Cappellen to assist in minimizing noise and vibration through the use of triple insulation and thick engine beds to disperse vibration.

Performance & Capabilities
Underneath its stunning exterior, Life Saga II houses a twin-screw propulsion system powered by two Caterpillar 3516C engines. Each engine delivers a power output of 2,525 hp, enabling the yacht to reach a maximum speed of 16 knots. She exhibits impressive cruising capabilities with a range of 6,000 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 13 knots. This extensive range is an indication of Life Saga II's ability to undertake long voyages without the need for frequent refueling stops.
To ensure a smooth and comfortable experience for those on board, Life Saga II is equipped with an advanced stabilization system. This system, comprising of at-anchor stabilizers, significantly reduces the effect of motion and roll, ensuring a more enjoyable time at sea.
The yacht's performance is complemented by its efficient fuel consumption. Life Saga II is designed to be fuel-efficient, thus reducing the environmental impact while maximizing the owner's enjoyment.
In terms of maneuverability, Life Saga II does not disappoint. The yacht is equipped with a modern bow thruster that enhances maneuverability, particularly in confined spaces. This feature is especially beneficial when docking or navigating through crowded harbors, making the yacht as practical as it is luxurious.
