The 47m expedition yacht M was delivered to her owners in 2024 by Italian shipyard Sanlorenzo. She features exterior design by Francesco Paszkowski Design and interior styling by Studio Indigo.

Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 9.6m beam and a 2.75m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 499 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Construction started in late 2020. This was the eleventh yacht built on the 500Exp design. Launched in May 2024 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was completed at Sanlorenzo's La Spezia yard in Italy where she was commissioned and delivered to her owners in August 2024.

Exterior Design

The yacht M is a striking explorer-style superyacht featuring a high, blunt bow and an elongated aft deck. Its hull and superstructure are predominantly steel blue/grey, with a contrasting white upper deck. The radar canopy, made of black carbon, complements the high vertical radar mast. A prominent black bootstrap defines the waterline, while a distinctive strake at the main deck level adds visual interest along the hull. Vertical rectangular glazing sections ensure natural light floods the lower deck.

Dynamic and forward-leaning lines characterize the yacht, with the main deck opening amidships to reveal teak side decks where guardrails replace traditional bulwarks, enhancing visibility from the main deck salon. As the deck level narrows toward the bow, a large angled glazing section stands out. The upper deck features a cutaway where guardrails are designed to be visually appealing from both outside the bridge and around the aft.

At the stern, a short fixed bathing platform extends when the transom door is lowered, creating a spacious bathing area. The extended aft deck accommodates a small helicopter (e.g., Eurocopter AS350 B3) and tender stowage, with an indoor garage for a 7m tender. Additional shell doors provide side access to the beach club.

On the skydeck, expansive sun lounging areas offer rear-facing views. To port, curved banquette seating surrounds a dining table, while lounge seating is positioned to starboard. A bar with high stools benefits from the shade provided by the canopy above.

Interior Design

Featuring interior design by London-based Studio Indigo, the Sanlorenzo superyacht M made her world premiere at the 2024 Monaco Yacht Show, following her delivery in August 2024. Studio Indigo's design incorporates a neutral pastel color palette, with artistic wall elements providing visual contrast, such as pastel artwork on headboards that complements the bedding. The salon features soft watercolor art with darker frames for contrast, and Guillaume Delvigne’s Litho chairs offer comfortable seating for guests.

The yacht boasts high internal ceilings, with the pastel tones enhanced by natural light streaming through expansive windows. The main deck salon includes turquoise accents in dining chairs and cushions to provide visual contrast.

Accommodation

The yacht M can accommodate up to ten guests in a five-cabin layout, with separate living quarters for a crew of nine in five crew cabins.

Performance & Capabilities

Motor yacht M is capable of reaching a top speed of 15 knots, and comfortably cruises at 11 knots. With her 50,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,000 nautical miles.
