The Sanlorenzo Alloy 44.5 for sale is, as the name suggests, a full aluminium build with a fast-displacement hull and an inspired five-cabin interior by Christian Liaigre.
A tri-deck, 490GT design with a sun deck, beach club that opens up on three sides, massive salon and upper deck lounge. The long-distance fast-displacement hull design will hit around 20knots with a 2000nm range at 11knots. The recommended engines appear to be the standard 1920hp MTUs, the significantly larger 2600hp engines delivering only a couple knots more.
A greatest-hits of Sanlorenzo design, the 44.5 Alloy offers the kind of modern superyacht style we see on the Steel and SX models, mixed with a very livable detailed interior that mixes open spaces with complex levels, creating one of the most unique yachts on the water. The Owner’s stateroom is the best example of the interior style, a 147msq apartment on three interconnected levels with its own private deck.
If you are wondering what an all-aluminium build delivers on weight-saving - and so potential fuel efficiency - over a steel hull variant, the 44m Alloy’s 300tonnes full-load displacement compares favourably to an average of around 370tonnes, a 20% difference.
