Construction started in late 2009 with the keel laid under the project name 'Key Largo'. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in April 2010 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months and was delivered to her owners in July 2010.

Exterior Design

Approaching Phoenix 2, the 90-meter vessel showcases art deco-inspired lines reminiscent of yachting's golden age, with a contemporary touch. The yacht's name, Phoenix 2, is tastefully integrated into the design.

The bathing platform serves as an inviting entry point, providing space for relaxation and water toy enjoyment. The illuminated staircase to the main deck, though wide and striking, is more than a connector; it's an artistic feature, reflecting the yacht's meticulous design.

Moving towards the main cockpit, one can appreciate the sheer scale of Phoenix 2. The area is a blend of functionality and luxury, boasting a sweep of cushioned seating that invites guests to recline in comfort while being shielded from the elements. The deck gear is proportionate to the yacht's grand size and is visually impressive.

A notable exterior feature is the winter garden on the upper deck. Sliding doors allow for an enclosed space or an open-air retreat, creating a tangible connection to the sea. The guest suites, each with elevated views and private terraces, provide intimacy and far-reaching vistas. The owner's library on the upper deck offers tranquility with inspiring views, including the distinctive hot tub on the foredeck and the Phoenix figurehead on the bow.

Further enhancing the yacht's allure are the guest suites, each boasting an elevated view and access to private terraces that offer intimacy and panoramic vistas. The owner's library, positioned on the upper deck, is a sanctuary of tranquility, surrounded by glass to connect with the outside world and provide inspiring views, particularly of the distinctive hot tub on the foredeck and the Phoenix figurehead that adorns the bow.

The sundeck is a leisure oasis, featuring a large pool with a waterfall feature, surrounded by sun pads. A second hot tub and built-in bar contribute to guest enjoyment, offering an ideal setting for sun-soaking and enjoying the views.

Functionally, Phoenix 2 includes a helipad on the bridge deck aft, catering to guests who require ease of transfers. This area serves dual purposes, transitioning between a landing pad and a spacious outdoor lounge with a wet bar for guest service.

Despite the lavishness of its accommodations, Phoenix 2's design is not fussy. Instead, it channels an air of sophistication and elegance, like a "little black dress".

Interior Design

The interior design of Phoenix 2 is nothing short of a masterpiece, meticulously crafted by the acclaimed Winch Design team. On stepping aboard, guests are immediately enveloped in an ambiance of luxurious comfort and classic elegance, with the yacht's Art Deco-inspired interiors evoking the glamour and sophistication of a bygone era.

The main deck saloon serves as the heart of Phoenix 2's social space, where the grandeur of the 1930s is brought to life through intricate design elements. The ceiling, adorned with elaborate geometric patterns, crowns a sweeping array of seating that invites intimate conversations and leisurely relaxation. A self-playing Steinway piano adds an aura of refinement, its melodious tunes creating an enchanting background that enhances the saloon's New York piano bar atmosphere.

The adjacent formal dining area further solidifies the yacht's status as a floating emblem of opulence. Here, dining is transformed into an extraordinary experience, with the artful orchestra motif on the chair backs and the conductor's silhouette setting the stage for memorable feasts. The wine storage, elegantly integrated into the space, promises a selection of the world's finest vintages, ensuring that every meal is paired with the perfect accompaniment.

Ascending to the upper deck, guests are greeted by the 'winter garden,' a versatile space that seamlessly blends indoor luxury with the allure of the open sea. Sliding doors on either side allow for a fully enclosed or open-air environment, adapting to the desires of those on board. A well-appointed bar and a central dining table create a convivial atmosphere, while the adjacent saloon, with its Art Deco bar and iconic New York skyline motifs, offers a cozy and inviting retreat.

The owner's private library, situated on the upper deck, is a sanctuary of tranquility. With its expansive desk, plush seating, and abundant natural light, this space provides a secluded haven for reflection or entertainment. The adjacent hot tub on the foredeck, accessible through a starboard door, offers a unique vantage point to admire the yacht's namesake sculpture and the panoramic seascapes beyond.

Accommodation

With the ability to host up to 14 guests in refined comfort, the yacht underwent a meticulous refit in 2019, prioritizing luxurious living spaces and guest privacy.

The staterooms on Phoenix 2 are thoughtfully designed to create tranquil and sophisticated retreats for every guest. The owner's suite, a standout feature, boasts an elegant duplex design. This space includes a private library with abundant natural light and panoramic views.

Accessible through a striking glass staircase, the owner's cabin is a fine example of Art Deco design. A spacious king-sized bed takes center stage,  where an entire, unbroken black ring circles the bed, transitioning from the plush white carpet onto the marble of the en suite. The en-suite facilities are lavish, featuring a large shower, a jacuzzi bath, and twin sinks within a marble setting, along with separate toilet cubicles hidden behind large artworks. The adjoining dressing room and wardrobe space reflect the cabin's elegance and provide ample storage.

Phoenix 2 offers additional guest staterooms, including VIP suites with generous space, natural light, and upscale amenities. Each cabin is furnished with luxury items and a personal entertainment system. The VIP suite, in particular, stands out with a spacious sitting and study area, substantial storage, and a bathroom equipped with both a shower and bath – all adorned in high-quality marble finishes found throughout the yacht.

With accommodation for up to 28 crew members, Phoenix 2 maintains an exceptional two-to-one guest-to-crew ratio, emphasizing the yacht's commitment to impeccable guest service. The crew quarters are designed for both comfort and functionality, supporting the dedicated team in upholding the highest standards of service.

Performance & Capabilities

At the heart of Phoenix 2's mechanical power are her twin MTU (16V 4000 M61) 16-cylinder 2,670hp engines. This powerplant is capable of propelling the yacht to a top speed of 18 knots. Such speed is remarkable for a vessel of her size.

For those who prefer a more leisurely voyage, Phoenix 2 demonstrates remarkable efficiency at her cruising speed of 12 knots. At this pace, she has an extensive range of 6,000 nautical miles, making her capable of transoceanic crossings and extended voyages to the most secluded corners of the globe. Owners and guests can take solace in the fact that Phoenix 2 can undertake long journeys with fewer refueling stops, thanks to her substantial fuel capacity of over 200,000 liters.

Leisure & Entertainment

The sundeck features a 7.5m (24.6ft) pool and a spa pool, with a multifunction seating area that can be transformed into a dining space, a daybed, a cinema area, or a teppanyaki dining spot. The bridge-deck spa, complete with a hammam and a hairdressing salon, overlooks the helideck.

Within the heart of the boat lies a cinema, a secluded haven for entertainment. The foyer, inspired by New York's Radio City Music Hall, conceals a machine crafting hot, buttery popcorn. The cinema room boasts five double chaises adorned in black ostrich with mink and cashmere throws for ultimate comfort. A starry sky, created by fiber optics, graces the black carpet, and a velvet curtain gracefully unveils the expansive cinema screen, setting the stage for an immersive movie experience.

In the Winter Garden area, retractable glass windows seamlessly blend the indoor and outdoor spaces, accommodating up to 120 guests during lively events. When not in party mode, Phoenix 2 transforms into an elegant dining spot. A dining table, complemented by buffet-style tables on either side, is set against a backdrop of small lounging areas on the aft deck, creating a versatile space for various occasions.

The yacht features a tender garage with storage for a range of toys and accessories. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort, while underwater lights create a dazzling light display when the sun goes down and an elevator makes the yacht fully accessible.

Amenities

The lower deck offers access to all levels through a spiraled staircase and a glass-encased elevator. The aluminum staircase is finished in a riveted style reminiscent of the industrial aesthetic of the 1920s. The banisters follow a phoenix wing theme, and the carpet features the silhouette of a skyscraper, gradually widening as the staircase ascends.
