Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 16m/52ft beam and a draft of 4.1m/13ft. The yacht has an internal volume of 2,959 GT (Gross Tonnes). The design also incorporates two helipads.

Construction started in late 2008 with the keel laid under the project name 'Josi'. Launched in July 2010 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months and was delivered to her owners in October 2010.

The yacht's unique appearance is defined by its strong, almost warship-like silhouette. The yacht's silver shade blends smoothly with its exterior, creating an interesting effect that seems to subtly shift colors, adding a unique touch to its appearance.

Exterior Design

While renowned for their expertise in sailing yacht design, German Frers Design's involvement in the development of Project Josi, the build name for Pacific, resulted in an award-winning endeavor for the Argentina-based design team.

The yacht features a low-profile silver-grey hull and superstructure, with a distinctive black bootstrap defining the water's edge. Extensive glazing contrasts with the sleek hull, and the subtle outline of shell doors is only noticeable upon close inspection, while pairs of round portholes provide the main visual breaks. Along the side profile at the main deck level, the hull's sheer flows upward to meet the foredeck, with glazing that follows the contours as a precision piece of engineering. The foredeck includes a helipad before a teak deck operational area with a high mast, and a raked angle leading upwards through the deck levels to the sky deck. A second helipad is positioned on the bridge deck aft.

The main deck walkways open aft of amidships, with teak-topped guard rails providing convenience as you make your way to the main deck aft guest relaxation space. Prominent fairleads aft resemble dramatic bullet holes within the curved topsides of the bullet-colored hull.

The stern is rounded and closed, with the bathing platform revealed when the transom door opens and lowers. Shell doors positioned aft provide access to tenders, toys, and waterside activities. A passerelle unfolds from a port-side shell door.

The upper deck aft guest area has extensive shelter from the bridge deck aft, which serves as the primary helipad. Atop the yacht, the slightly raked radar and communication mast is prominent, providing shelter over the elevated guest space where a jacuzzi pool offers relaxation with forward-facing views.

Pacific X showcases a low-profile silver-grey hull with a distinctive black bootstrap and a powerful twin-engine performance.

Interior Design

The interior design reflects relaxation and a sense of calm that contrasts with the powerful and dramatic exterior. Warm tones of a neutral palette are embraced, with different woods creating contrast and texture throughout. The natural feel is enhanced with stone, marble, leather, and metals, creating a harmonious interior. Some elements feature distinctly Aztec designs, and much of the furniture is bespoke and unique to the yacht. The artwork is abstract, with a nod to the marine world. The additional texture is created by fluted wood and corrugated surfaces, with splashes of earthy tones like sunset red providing vibrant accents.

Accommodation

Pacific X offers accommodation for up to 12 guests in six suites. The yacht can carry up to 28 crew onboard to provide full guest service.
