Design & Construction

Designed around a full displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 53'6" beam and a 15'4" draft. The yacht is built over 5 decks with an internal volume of 5,082 GT (Gross Tonnes). The design also incorporates a heli-pad.

Construction started in late 2006. Launched in November 2007 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in February 2010.

Exterior Design

A product of Tim Heywood's design prowess, this Lurssen yacht boasts a robust exterior characterized by a warm grey-blue hull beneath a white superstructure. Notably, the brief demanded one of the most stringent security specifications ever conceived, including a personal "escape launch" with turbo-charged twin diesel engines reaching speeds exceeding 75 knots. It's equipped with an arsenal featuring sonic guns that emit low-frequency sound waves capable of rupturing eardrums and a military water cannon effective at over 100 yards—a truly formidable defense.

In a touch of humor or perhaps irony, Heywood incorporates forward-side deck balconies in the shape of torpedoes, adding an intriguing element to the vessel's aesthetic. Despite the underlying strength of its defenses, the yacht embraces a gentle curvature, featuring rounded deck platforms and an upward curve leading from the lower deck to the main deck just aft of amidships. A scooped inlet precedes the torpedo-shaped side balcony, continuing to the shorter foredeck and the gracefully raked bow.

Privacy is a key consideration, evident in the design of the lower aft deck with louvered elements of the superstructure safeguarding the guest area. The helipad strategically occupies the upper aft deck, positioned just behind the low-slung communication and navigation platform. This synthesis of formidable security and graceful design makes Heywood's creation a standout in both capability and aesthetic appeal.

Graceful sweeping staircases on either side guide guests to the transom area, facilitating access to water activities and the open sea. The beach club side balconies open to create an immersive experience. whilst remaining protected.

Interior Design

Glen Pushelburg's interior design is a masterclass in understated luxury, employing neutral tones and wood to create a refined ambiance. The introduction of an ocean color palette adds a striking contrast, enhancing the overall aesthetic. Metals, showcased through sculptures, add a touch of modernity. Stone, including sparingly used marble, complements the design, with white contrasting against strategically placed black highlights for maximum effect. Mottled stone and metals are thoughtfully incorporated, creating textural interest within the interiors.
