Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 8.4m beam and a 2.9m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 453 GT (Gross Tonnes).

The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards.

Exterior Design

Sanora presents a modern and assertive silhouette that stands out among the prestigious Feadship fleet. The yacht's design incorporates innovative visual elements that both honor tradition and embrace contemporary aesthetics.

Sanora's exterior is characterized by a full-length teak rail capping that gracefully accentuates the yacht's sheerline, creating the illusion of an uninterrupted bow-to-stern side deck. This clever design choice not only enhances the yacht's profile but also cleverly disguises the fact that the side deck terminates amidships, allowing for an expansive forward accommodation that spans the full width of the hull. The lowered sheerline aft further contributes to an unobstructed vista from the saloon, ensuring panoramic sea views for those aboard.

The yacht's distinctive long, knuckled bow and the raked wheelhouse windscreen, with its pronounced 'pulled-down hat-brim' brow, imbue Sanora with a commanding presence reminiscent of a fast patrol boat. Engineered for tranquility, the yacht is renowned for the remarkable absence of noise and vibration when underway, a feature achieved through the flexible mounting of her twin 775hp Caterpillar engines and the soundproofing of her machinery spaces.

The yacht's exterior spaces are thoughtfully designed to celebrate the joy of open-air living. The upper deck saloon maintains the interior's dignified theme, with a bar that lends a sociable atmosphere for gatherings. Automatic doors lead to the boat deck, where guests can enjoy al fresco dining around a circular teak table. The tenders and water toys are conveniently stored on this deck, ensuring seamless access to water-based activities.

Ascending to the sun deck, guests are greeted by a luxurious spa bath nestled beneath the robust radar arch, ample sunbathing areas, and comfortable seating around the aft rail. A discreet bar enhances the leisurely atmosphere, providing the perfect setting for relaxation and socializing under the sun or stars.

Sanora's interior design is a tribute to the art of classic yachting, promising to remain as timeless and elegant in decades to come as it is today.

Interior Design

Under the masterful hand of renowned interior designer John Munford, the yacht's inner spaces are characterized by the traditional warmth of raised-and-fielded paneling in dark mahogany, perfectly complemented by off-white ceilings that feature lengthwise and cross beams, imparting a stately charm that is both grand and inviting.

Throughout the vessel, the luxurious use of 24-carat gold-plated hardware accentuates the rich mahogany, harmoniously intertwined with gold bands that encircle the circular table supports, adding a touch of opulence to the interior. This attention to detail continues with the sumptuous main saloon and dining room, which are designed to be both expansive and intimate. Soft, plump settees and a beige wool carpet provide a comfortable contrast to the classical lines of the paneling and furniture, creating an ambiance that is both formal and relaxing.

The unique entrance to the saloon through doors flanking a striking glazed stairway sets the stage for the elegance within. The saloon and dining area are thoughtfully partitioned by shelving units and a central TV cabinet, ensuring that the panoramic views are unimpeded. The dining table itself is a masterpiece, crafted from red cedar burl with intricate inlays that echo the patterns found in the carpet, reinforcing the harmonious design ethos of the yacht.

The upper deck saloon maintains the dignified theme of the yacht, while introducing a club-like atmosphere with an elegant marble-topped bar—the perfect setting for evening entertainment and socializing.

Sanora's wheelhouse continues the theme of elegance with a practical edge, featuring dark mahogany and beige leather appointments that provide a sophisticated yet fully functional command center for navigating the seas.

Sanora's galley is a model of practical luxury, with safety rails on the cookers, latched oven doors, and granite worktops with raised edges, all designed to ensure seamless culinary operations even in rough seas. An innovative floor button for hands-free door operation exemplifies the yacht's commitment to both luxury and functionality.

Accommodation

Sanora's interior layout is designed to accommodate up to 10 guests in style, ensuring a stay that is as serene as it is prestigious.

The owner's suite, an opulent retreat situated forward on the main deck, utilizes the full width of the hull to provide an expansive and lavishly appointed stateroom. This private sanctuary is accessed through a sizeable study that doubles as a personal library, leading to a stateroom that boasts generous seating on either side of a central double bed. For those traveling with children, the suite is thoughtfully equipped with two convertible settees that serve as additional beds. A dressing room precedes the en suite bathroom, which features a luxurious whirlpool bath and elegant counters crafted from calacatta vaglia marble, adding to the suite's grandeur and sophistication.

Guest accommodations are found on the lower deck aft, where the four guest suites are ingeniously designed to ensure equal comfort and privacy. Each stateroom occupies half the width of the hull, with the two aft suites offering double beds and the forward pair featuring twin beds along with supplementary Pullman berths. The guest staterooms exude a sense of timeless elegance, with ceilings that echo the classic feel of a bygone era of maritime travel, and walls lined with painted, paneled ship's side linings. Each cabin comes with its own en suite bathroom, also paneled and lined with calacatta marble, and includes a dressing table, desk, and a complete entertainment system to cater to the guests' every need.

The yacht's crew accommodations for up to 10 have been considered to ensure the well-being of those who operate Sanora. The captain enjoys a spacious stateroom/office located traditionally abaft the wheelhouse, while the chief engineer benefits from a large double cabin with the unique advantage of direct access to the engine room. Additional crew quarters include four twin cabins, a comfortable mess area finished in ash, and a dedicated laundry, all situated on the lower deck forward of the engine-room. This thoughtful layout underlines Feadship's commitment to the comfort and functionality of the crew spaces, a key factor in delivering seamless service to guests aboard.
