Design & Construction

Designed around a full displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 12.5m beam and a 3.95m draft. The yacht is built over 4 decks with an internal volume of 2,305 GT (Gross Tonnes).

The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in January 2015 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in July 2015.

Exterior Design

Savannah's unique design elements become apparent at the stern, where the yacht opens up to reveal an impressive cascade that flows past a swimming pool to a bathing platform. This innovative design feature effectively transforms the stern into a multi-level beach club. The large amount of space available at the stern is indicative of Savannah’s commitment to delivering an unrivaled yachting experience without any compromises.

One of the standout features of Savannah’s exterior design is the innovative use of glass. The glass sweeps in one continuous line down the sides of the main deck, wrapping the superstructure as a black band. The aft end of every deck slides away to create a smooth link to the outside, as do the walls of the VIP and the main deck sitting room, turning these spaces into terraces with superb views.

Further enhancing her exterior design, Savannah is the first superyacht to be given a complete metallic finish. The innovative painting technique developed by Feadship, involving a special spray nozzle, gives Savannah a seamless, shimmering presence that is both striking and elegant. The yacht's metallic green color, dubbed Sea Foam, adds to her distinctiveness.

Savannah's sundeck is more than a mere lounging area; it is a fully-fledged entertainment space. The deck offers covered seating fronting a fireplace, a large bar, and a spa pool, all designed with the utmost attention to detail and luxury. The exhaust columns on the sundeck have been transformed into works of art, transitioning through the hardtop and exiting as two pairs of twin funnels.

A yacht quite unlike any other, Feadship’s 83.5m (273ft) Custom yacht SAVANNAH strikes the perfect balance between five-star styling and outstanding eco-credentials.

Interior Design

The fluidity of the main decks, designed for indoor-outdoor living, is a key highlight. With sliding curved glass doors that open and stack out of the way, the saloon essentially becomes a covered extension of the weather deck, creating a seamless connection with the outside environment. The aft deck houses a multi-level beach club with the mosaic-tiled swimming pool as the center of attention. A gym and spa area are conveniently located adjacent to the bridge for relaxation after a workout.

The guest suites on the main deck are spacious and luxurious, with en suites nearly equal in floor space to the bedrooms. The walls and bulkheads are gently curved at the edges, creating glamorous cocoons with wool and silk carpets, velvet-upholstered bed frames, and silk floor-length curtains.

One of the standout features of Savannah's interior design is the almost invisible window frames. The continuous line of glass sweeping down the sides of the main deck gives an uninterrupted view of the surrounding seascape. The aft end of every deck slides away to create a smooth link to the outside, as do the walls of the VIP and the main deck sitting room, turning these spaces into terraces with superb views.

Savannah features two surprise spaces - a semi-submerged Nemo lounge on the port side and a snug owner's observation lounge, low in the bow. The Nemo lounge, with windows looking out to the sea and the swimming pool, provides an intimate connection with the water. It can also be transformed into a cinema with a drop-down screen.

Savannah's lighting plan is one of the most sophisticated ever engineered into a yacht. Indirect lighting is used to highlight architectural elements, while double-height features and accent lights add intrigue. The result is a soft, slightly mysterious appeal that heightens as the day turns into night.

Accommodation

Savannah offers stylish and comfortable accommodation for up to 12 guests in six distinct cabins, ensuring an unforgettable experience on the seas.

The accommodation onboard includes an owner's suite, a VIP cabin, and four large guest cabins, all located on the main deck. Each guest suite boasts spacious en suites almost equal in floor space to the bedrooms. The spaces are designed with gently curved walls and bulkheads at the edges, creating a sense of glamorous cocoons. The rooms are enhanced with wool and silk carpets, velvet upholstered bed frames, and silk floor-length curtains, adding to the luxurious feel. The overall design gives the cabins a free and spacious feel rather than boxlike.

The owner's deck, is a marvel of design in itself, beginning with a spacious outdoor seating area and ending with a broad helideck. The suite includes a dining room, saloon, service pantry, a separate dressing area, a large marble bathroom, and a bedroom under an enormous skylight. The stateroom is one of the highlights, featuring double mullions in a metallic finish, a circular space, and a large skylight making it very impressive.

The VIP cabin also stands out with its glass sliding open to connect the room to a fold-down balcony. The VIP and owner's bathrooms are impressive with their large size and panoramic windows.

The Savannah yacht maintains a high level of comfort and luxury in all aspects of its design and the same goes for its crew accommodation for up to 24 professionals.

Performance & Capabilities

Savannah shows a commitment to sustainability and engineering excellence. This luxury yacht is powered by an innovative hybrid power plant, the first of its kind in the industry.

At the heart of Savannah’s mechanical capabilities is its unique hybrid power plant that combines a diesel engine with three gensets, an azimuth thruster and a bank of lithium-ion batteries. This intricate system offers five operating modes that range from fully diesel to fully electric, allowing for unparalleled customization based on the current needs and conditions.

The diesel Wartsila (9L20C) 2,415hp engine, a medium-speed main coupled with a trio of gensets, is highly efficient, reducing fuel consumption and emissions by perfectly matching power supply and demand. The system is further enhanced by the addition of an electricity-powered azimuth thruster located aft of the main drivetrain. This thruster not only offers redundancy but also adds to the yacht’s overall performance and efficiency.

Another remarkable feature of this propulsion package is the inclusion of a power in/out clutch on the main engine gearbox. This is connected to an electric motor which can provide up to 1000 kW of power, enough to cover the yacht’s entire hotel load. This means that Savannah can run on electric power alone, offering a quiet and emission-free cruising experience.

In addition to the motor, Savannah also stores one million watts of power in lithium-ion batteries, weighing 11,824 kilograms. These batteries have a warranted life of 10 years and can be recharged using the diesel engine or when connected to shore power.

This hybrid system also contributes to Savannah’s excellent performance. Despite her size, she is exceptionally efficient, with tank tests showing that she is seven to eight percent more efficient than other displacement hulls of the same length with standard twin shaft propulsion. This is partly due to the yacht’s hull design which tucks up towards the stern, and to the hybrid propulsion system that allows for a flexible operation and loading of the power plant. This results in reduced emissions and fuel savings of up to 30 percent.

Savannah's exterior design is a blend of innovation, luxury, and sustainability, making her a true icon in the yachting industry. She embodies the forward-thinking design philosophy of Feadship, setting her apart from other yachts in her class.

Amenities

A gym with all the latest equipment allows her guests to keep their workout routines while at sea. Rest and relaxation can be achieved on board, thanks to a luxury spa. The yacht features a tender garage with storage for a range of toys and accessories. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort and an elevator makes the yacht fully-accessible. Savannah also features deck jacuzzi which provides excellent views.
