Design & Construction

Designed around a semi-displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 8.02m beam and a 2.52m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 395 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the third yacht built on the Princess 40M design. Launched in November 2013 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was completed at Princess' South Yard yard in United Kingdom where she was commissioned and delivered to her owners.

Exterior Design

The exterior design of Solaris, created by the Bernard Olesinski studio, features trim and elegant lines that effectively hide the yacht's impressive interior volume. This tri-deck semi-custom yacht, with a gross tonnage of 395, has been crafted to maximize space and provide exceptional views. The tall sections of glass running along each side of the yacht allow natural light to flood the interior.

At the top of the yacht, the sundeck serves as the main exterior dining space, equipped with a wet bar, twin barbecue, aft Jacuzzi, and lounging areas. The private owner’s deck, situated aft, includes an intimate dining area and expansive seating. Stairs from this deck lead to the main deck below or up to the sun deck.

The main deck cockpit, along with the private deck and sundeck, offers multiple external areas for relaxation. A small seating area with sunpads at the bow, shielded by the deep foredeck, provides privacy when in port. At the stern, the beach club features a walk-in garage capable of housing a 6.5-metre tender, two jet skis, and a diving room.

Solaris features a raked bow, contributing to its streamlined appearance and efficient performance. The deck is crafted from high-quality teak, providing durability and a classic maritime look. The hull is painted in a striking blue color, contrasting effectively with the white superstructure. The boot top is also white, adding to the cohesive and clean design. For underwater protection, the yacht employs black antifoul paint.

Interior Design

The interior design of Solaris features a contemporary and elegant style achieved through a collaboration between Mark Berryman Design and the Princess Design studio. Natural materials dominate the decor, with European oak serving as the primary wood, contrasted by wenge accents and walnut parquet flooring. The lighting throughout the yacht is provided by Porta Romana, ensuring a cohesive and refined atmosphere.

The saloon on the main deck is remarkably spacious, accommodating 12 guests comfortably. This area is designed for relaxation and entertainment, featuring balconies on both port and starboard sides. Large windows flood the space with natural light, enhancing the open feel. The dining area, situated towards the bow, features a solid Macassar ebony table that seats 12.

Accommodation

Solaris offers accommodation for up to 12 guests across six well-appointed cabins. The master suite is situated on the upper deck, creating a private retreat for the owner. This area includes a spacious stateroom, a seating area, a separate office, and an ensuite bathroom. Large sections of glass surround this deck, offering commanding views and abundant natural light. An aft private deck is also part of the owner's suite, featuring an intimate dining area and expansive seating.

Located on the main deck, the VIP stateroom spans the full 8-metre beam of the yacht. It includes a seating area, a separate office, and an ensuite bathroom. On the lower deck, Solaris accommodates guests in four additional ensuite cabins. There are two double cabins situated aft, and two twin cabins with sliding berths, allowing for flexible sleeping arrangements.

Solaris also provides accommodation for a crew of seven, ensuring a high level of service and maintenance for the yacht and its guests.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MTU (V12 4000 M73L) 3,509hp engines, motor yacht Solaris is capable of reaching a top speed of 19 knots, and comfortably cruises at 16 knots. With her 29,345 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 1,500 nautical miles at 12 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.

Amenities

The yacht features a well-equipped gym, allowing her guests to keep up their fitness regimes at sea. The yacht can house plenty of nautical toys and accessories, with a well-appointed tender garage for storing her impressive locker. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. The sundeck is the social hub of the yacht, with a deck jacuzzi for cooling off and an inviting spread of sunpads.
