Design & Construction

Designed around a fast displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 11.7m beam and a 3.2m draft. The yacht is built over 5 decks with an internal volume of 1,410 GT (Gross Tonnes). The design also incorporates a touch and go heli-pad.

Construction started in late 2015. Launched in August 2018 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in November 2018.

Exterior Design

The exterior design of Spectre focuses on creating a balanced and proportioned aesthetic while accommodating a large interior volume. Giorgio Cassetta, the exterior stylist, worked through numerous iterations to achieve a design that harmonizes sporty lines with ample shaded areas.

The yacht features five decks, each designed to maximize both functionality and visual appeal. From the bow, Spectre presents a sleek and aggressive profile, reminiscent of a US bomber. This design choice contributes to a sense of safety and robustness, distinguishing it from smaller vessels scaled up in size.

Attention to detail is evident in the integration of black glass elements, which are not merely decorative but serve to transmit light into the interior spaces. This thoughtful design ensures that, from the master bed, one can see the bow tip, enhancing the onboard experience.

On the bridge deck, a bar faces a large jet pool surrounded by sunpads, with additional dining space, a pizza oven, and a grill creating a versatile outdoor entertainment area. The main deck features an elevated lounge area, inspired by the Staluppis' previous yacht, the 58m (190ft) SKYFALL. This long cockpit area is designed to make guests feel the substantial presence of the yacht upon arrival.

Overall, the exterior design of Spectre successfully combines functional spaces with a visually appealing and robust structure, making it suitable for both active charter programs and private entertainment.

With every aspect of the guest experience considered, Spectre shows a commitment to luxury and excellence, providing a perfect balance of speed, performance, and indulgent comfort for all who step aboard.

Interior Design

Spectre features a sophisticated interior design that combines modern elements with art deco influences. The interior architect Domenico Gavagnin, in close consultation with the yacht’s owners, John and Jeanette Staluppi, has created spaces that are both functional and visually appealing.

The interior predominantly uses high-gloss walnut burr, sourced from trees in Germany. This material covers the guest bulkheads, creating a consistent and polished look throughout the yacht. The walnut burr is complemented by white statuario marble, which is used in various areas, including a striking flower motif in the guest lobby.

Stainless steel and etched glass details further enhance the art deco theme, providing a sleek and refined aesthetic. Light-hued fabrics by Armani and sconces by Lalique add to the overall ambiance, offering a blend of style and comfort.

The interior spaces include multiple lounges and saloons designed for entertainment and relaxation. In the main saloon, guests can find large television screens and an entertainment system managed by Videoworks. The upper saloon also features two large screens, among the 30 in total throughout the yacht.

A notable feature is the sleek carbon-fibre-clad paperless bridge by Team Italia, with foldable screens and a large digital chart table. This modern design approach extends to the guest lift, which features a pleasant chime and provides easy access between decks.

The owner's deck offers an air-conditioned dining area, with separate conversation spaces for "girls" and "guys." The bridge deck includes a bar facing a large jet pool surrounded by sunpads, along with additional dining space next to a pizza oven and a grill.

Accommodation

The yacht, Spectre offers accommodation for up to 12 guests in a luxurious setting. The yacht features six well-appointed cabins, including an impressive master suite.

The master suite is located forward on the main deck, spanning the full beam of the yacht. This suite is designed to maximize comfort and privacy, featuring expansive windows that allow for breathtaking views. From the master bed, guests can enjoy a direct view of the bow and the surrounding seascape. This suite also includes a private spa pool.

In addition to the master suite, Spectre offers five guest cabins. These cabins are thoughtfully positioned on the main deck and above, ensuring ample natural light and stunning vistas. Each cabin is furnished with high-quality materials and designed with a modern take on the art deco style, prevalent in 1930s Florida. The interiors feature stainless steel and etched glass details, complemented by light-hued fabrics and custom-designed furniture.

Spectre is also equipped with accommodations for a professional crew of up to 14.

Performance & Capabilities

Spectre is powered by two MTU 12V 4000 M93 engines. These engines are considered relatively small for a yacht of this size but deliver remarkable performance. The yacht reaches a maximum speed of approximately 21.5 knots, which is notable for a full-displacement yacht of its dimensions. Typical yachts in the 69-meter range usually achieve top speeds around 17 knots. Spectre surpasses this with a higher maximum speed and cruises comfortably at 20 knots, compared to the more common cruising speed of 15 knots in similar vessels.

Spectre boasts an impressive range of 6,500nm when cruising at 12 knots. At this speed, the yacht consumes between 260 to 290 liters of fuel per hour.

Spectre is equipped with an advanced ride control system developed in collaboration with Naiad. This system includes three interceptors at the transom, a pair of fins around midship for roll damping, and forward canards for pitch damping. This combination effectively mitigates undesirable movements from waves, providing a stable and comfortable ride even in challenging sea conditions.

The yacht's efficient hull design, fine-tuned by naval architect Frank Mulder, contributes to its exceptional fuel efficiency across various speeds. Spectre's hull is approximately 30 percent faster than a typical displacement hull, making it a highly efficient vessel.

Spectre is fitted with top-of-the-line VEEM propellers, which include built-in interceptors designed to correct pitch and enhance overall performance.

Spectre stands as a benchmark in the luxury yachting industry, offering an exceptional combination of comfort and performance that is sure to impress even the most discerning yachting enthusiasts.

Amenities

A gym with all the latest equipment allows her guests to keep their workout routines while at sea. Waterfront living can be enjoyed to the fullest, thanks to a large beach club and connecting swim platform with plenty of space for sitting back and admiring the sea views. The yacht features a tender garage with storage for a range of toys and accessories. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort, while underwater lights create a dazzling light display when the sun goes down and an elevator makes the yacht fully-accessible. Spectre also features deck jacuzzi which provides excellent views.
