The 41.8m expedition yacht Timbuktu was delivered to her owners in 2009 by Italian shipyard Baglietto. Her naval architecture and exterior design comes from the drawing boards of Francesco Paszkowski Design, while Bannenberg & Rowell is responsible for her interior design.

Design & Construction

Designed around a semi-displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 8.5m beam and a 2.2m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 399 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Construction started in early 2007. She was delivered to her owners in May 2009.

Accommodation

Timbuktu offers accommodation for up to 10 guests in 5 suites comprising an owners cabin, 2 double cabins and 2 twin cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 9 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MTU (12V 4000) 12-cylinder 2,800hp engines running at 2100rpm, motor yacht Timbuktu is capable of reaching a top speed of 20 knots, and comfortably cruises at 16 knots. With her 41,730 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 2,000 nautical miles at 12 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.

Amenities

The yacht features a well-equipped gym, allowing her guests to keep up their fitness regimes at sea. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. Timbuktu also features a deck jacuzzi for cooling off.
