With Boot Dusseldorf opening its doors in just over two weeks for the world's largest indoor yacht show, we take a look at some debuts and highlights that you won't want to miss.
Azimut Magellano 60
The Magellano 60, Azimut's latest launch, represents a crossover with a timeless design and elegant lines, tailored for owners who relish extended cruises and seek prolonged periods aboard. To enhance this new model, the shipyard has incorporated the latest innovations from the Azimut|Benetti Group R&D department, aiming to minimize emissions and enhance the overall onboard experience.
Notably, the Magellano 60 stands as the chosen vessel for pioneering voyages powered by HVOlution, Eni Live's biofuel sourced from 100% renewable raw materials. Coupled with the high-efficiency, semi-planing Dual Mode hull, this utilization reduces well-to-wake CO2 emissions by over 80% compared to a similarly sized yacht powered by conventional fossil fuels.
Furthermore, Azimut introduces a state-of-the-art smart boat automation system on the Magellano 60, incorporating artificial intelligence onboard. Developed in collaboration with Google Cloud and Reply, this innovative system enables interaction with the yacht through a dedicated app. This application allows users to command and control various onboard functions, even from a remote location, elevating the level of convenience and technological sophistication.
WallyPower50
The WallyPower50 will make its world debut at the show, bridging the gap between the builder’s Wallytenders and the expansive WallyPower series. More than just an entry point yacht, it's a versatile vessel designed for various needs and can be used as a support vessel or a family cruiser. Flexibility is also key, with the WallyPower50 offering an extensive customization list to tailor the yacht to each owner's specific requirements.
Practicality shines with clean lines, stem design, and customizable options like the wraparound fender. On deck, enjoy two sunbeds, expandable wings, and an upper cockpit area accommodating eight guests with additional seating for four. Below deck features include a bathroom, separate shower, large couch, and a double bed.
Dynamism defines the WallyPower50, equipped with two Volvo Penta IPS650s reaching 36 knots and a cruising speed of 30 knots. The optional Dynamic Positioning System ensures precise maneuvers. The WallyPower50X variant, with quad 400hp Mercury outboards, hits 48 knots, and the 500hp Mercury configuration surpasses 50 knots, though with a reduced range of 180nm.
Prestige F4
Prestige Yachts will showcase the Prestige F4, a 15m (49ft) flybridge cruiser, marking a new era for the F-Line range. With a V-shaped hull designed by Michael Peters of Bénéteau Group, the F4 combines modern design with enhanced stability, while the exterior features black hull glazing and chrome accents.
The flybridge, accessible via a cockpit staircase, is the focal point with a full galley, versatile dining and sunbathing spots, and a helm station under an optional bimini or hard-top. Emphasizing ease of movement, wide gangways, and dual sliding doors provide further access. The OceanView Galley connects to the cockpit, while the foredeck offers relaxation with a sundeck and adjustable backrests.
Inside, the F4 benefits from a redesigned layout including a double staircase to the hydraulic bathing platform. The saloon, bar, and helm station all offer panoramic views and are complemented by advanced systems. The forward owner's suite impresses with generous headroom, natural light, a king-size bed, extensive closets, and private bathroom access. Two guest cabins aft share a bathroom, with practicalities like a washing machine in the passageway.
Powered by twin 480hp Volvo IPS 650 engines, the Prestige F4 can reach a cruising speed of 21 knots and a top speed of 28 knots.
Sunseeker Ocean 182
Set to make its European debut at the 2024 Boot Dusseldorf show, is the Sunseeker Ocean 182, a tri-deck version of the Sunseeker 90 Ocean.
Named after its gross tonnage, the Ocean 182 offers over 2,000sq/ft of interior space, due to its wide-beam design and a newly enclosed top deck. The yacht's imaginative standard arrangement includes a stylish internal staircase leading to an upper deck, transformable based on the owner's preferences.
With no lower helm station on the main deck, a bright dining area and galley forward lead to a spacious aft saloon. Outdoors, the upper structure sacrifices some space but compensates with a 24m2 split-level beach club.
Accommodation on the lower deck remains unchanged, featuring a full-beam owner's suite, two double guest suites, and a VIP double in the bow. Prospective buyers can customize the covered area, choosing between an open back with a security hatch or a fully enclosed sky lounge with sliding glass doors. Outdoor options include a private bow lounge and a smaller aft deck.
The specifications are impressive, with a length overall of 27m (88ft), a beam of 7m (24ft), and a draft of 2m (6ft). The yacht's displacement is substantial at 79,300kg, with a fuel capacity of 13,000 liters and a water capacity of 1,500 liters.
Performance-wise, the Sunseeker Ocean 182 is powered by MAN V12s on V-drives, ranging from twin 1,650hp to 2,000hp units, ensuring it can reach a top speed of approximately 27 knots and a cruising range of 1,100nm. Alternatively, twin MTU engines, delivering up to 3,000hp, can be selected.
