UK design studio D-iD has unveiled its 77m (252ft) glass-clad superyacht concept inspired by Greek mythology.
THEIA takes her name from the Greek goddess of light, and aptly features extensive use of glass throughout to create an interior bathed in natural light.
The five-deck concept is marked by crisp, clean lines and a ‘single bold curving line’ at the rear of the superstructure.
On deck, the design is geared towards entertaining with numerous social spaces, including a sundeck with a Jacuzzi and various seating areas and below the bridge deck there is a large aft balcony that doubles up as a helipad. The main deck is home to a swimming pool and outside bar.
THEIA can accommodate 12 guests, with the Owner benefitting from their own dedicated deck, with two dressing rooms, a large office, salon and a private terrace area. There are also two VIP cabins, two additional guest cabins and a twin cabin.
The design also features a full-beam dining room with space for 14 guests, a hammam, massage room, sauna and gym. Performance-wise the yacht can be fitted with either hybrid or conventional diesel propulsion for a top speed of 16.5 knots and a range of 5,000nm at 12.5 knots.
D-iD is based in the south of England and Greek mythology plays a strong part in its design, its 67m (220ft) superyacht concept PROTEUS took its inspiration, and its name, from the Greek sea god. It has also penned CYNOSURE, an 85m (279ft) superyacht concept designed for family living.
