Italian yard Bluegame has revealed details of what it is calling the “first boat of its 2.0 generation”, its BG54 model.
The 16.5m (54ft) vessel has been “redesigned in line with up-to-date technical evolution” according to the builder, with much attention focused on improving the ergonomics and functionality of the stern and bow areas.
Both areas offer large spaces with versatility of use. In the stern, there is the possibility of a transformer to be used as a launching and hauling system, as well as an immersed area. The large bow area is home to a dinette that converts from dining area to lounge area.
The cockpit is open for breathtaking views, but benefits from Stataglass® shielding to offer protection in the event of bad weather. Unusually for a boat of this size it offers a two or three cabin option, one of which is a full-beam Owner’s cabin.
The design still follows the stylistic tradition of Bluegame, with a wider trawler-style bow and a deep-vee hull form and Volvo IPS propulsion engines giving a top speed of up to 36 knots.
As of 2018 Bluegame Yachts is part of the Sanlorenzo Group, but its history goes back to the turn of the millennium when former Olympic sailor Luca Santella founded the company.
It has become known for its unusual motorboat concepts that blend utility and luxury in equal measure and are marked by fast capable hulls. To explore in more detail view all Bluegame yachts for sale.
