Boot Dusseldorf 2020 enjoys Motorboat Makeover

One of the undoubted stars of the yachting calendar and possibly the best (and only) way to get your yachting fix during the European winter, Boot Dusseldorf and its vast halls have been given a motor yacht makeover for 2020.

Drawing in the biggest yachting names, Boot Dusseldorf is set for another exciting show with a real motor yacht focus.

In its 51st year, the show has been given a design makeover with a new layout designed to help visitors navigate their way around the many vast halls and, importantly, grouping the motor yacht areas together.

Every Dusseldorf show reflects the entire industry, with all facets of yachting life covered, however, motorboats and yachts make up a large proportion of this event and so it seems right and proper that they are as easy to view as possible. Early reports are that we will see up to nine motorboat-related halls, defined by size and type.

Having previously been dotted around the show, motorboats will be sensibly grouped up, with Hall One displaying vessels in the mid 30-60 ft sector from names such as Jeanneau, Beneteau, Greenline and Bavaria, as well as inland and steel boat builders.

Halls Three and Four will be dedicated to motorboating for beginners', showcasing smaller and towable vessels, outboard engines, and equipment, as well as advice for those looking to get into boating.

Halls Six and Seven, touted as the Superyacht Show, is where you will find big-name brands such as Princess, Sunseeker, Azimut and Ferretti. With many new models, including world debuts, promised, these halls are sure to be some of the busiest and most spectacular at the show.

Away from motor yachts, there will be a vast array of nautical exhibits to enjoy. One of Dusseldorf's star attractions is its dedicated Diving area across Halls 11 - 13. Said to be the largest indoor diving show in the world and featuring more than 400 exhibitors covering all aspects of the sport, you can try out a spot of Scuba diving for yourself in specially prepared tanks. The Diving section provides a wealth of knowledge and includes an area dedicated to ecological and environmental concerns in the 'Love your Ocean' section.

Over in Hall Eight, there are more chances to get wet with a 65-metre paddleboarding pool.

The Boot Dusseldorf event is scheduled to run from the 18th until the 26th January 2020.
