Feadship Unveils 75m Superyacht Concept C at Monaco Yacht Show 2024

Concept C advances sustainable technology with a fully electric propulsion system powered by methanol fuel cells, achieving 30% greater efficiency and zero harmful emissions.

At the Monaco Yacht Show 2024, Feadship has revealed Concept C. This 75m superyacht concept combines innovative systems and technologies within stunning avant-garde exterior styling and forward-thinking interior design.

According to Feadship, Concept C is named in honor of the builder's Diamond Anniversary, with ‘C’ reflecting the symbol for carbon on the periodic table, evoking thoughts of both diamonds and the sea.

The new superyacht Concept C features a flared bow that pays homage to the designs of the late Frits de Voogt, combining classic aesthetics with modern sustainability. The yacht’s design emphasizes a flow between interior and exterior spaces, enhanced by broad expanses of glass that draw light deep into the yacht's multi-level interior.

Leading this year’s Concept Design team, senior designer Ruud Bakker drew inspiration from a visit to Gassan Diamonds and other architecture, resulting in a design that enhances guest contact with the sea. Motor yacht Concept C’s layout blurs the segregation of decks with staggered half-levels, creating a fluid living space without long corridors.

One of the standout features is a dramatic central court with a hexagonal seating area that moves between decks, eliminating the need for a traditional elevator. The primary suite is a duplex with an open staircase connecting private living areas, and the lower deck includes a sea lounge with permanent hull-side openings, a gym, and a spa.

Concept C also advances Feadship’s work in sustainable technology. The new yacht features a fully electric propulsion system with inline contra-rotating propellers, drawing power from fuel cells running on methanol. This system is 30% more efficient than traditional dual-shaft setups and produces no harmful emissions.

Additional power is generated by wave-actuated fins that capture energy from the sea, meeting a third of the yacht’s energy needs and reducing pitch motions and total resistance. The yacht also includes an advanced command center with intelligent situational awareness technology, centralizing crew tasks and improving communication.

Feadship continues to push the boundaries of luxury and sustainability with Concept C, demonstrating a commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and enhancing the efficiency of superyacht design.
