The Italian Sea Group has revealed it will be working with internationally acclaimed designer Giorgio Armani on its 72m (236ft) superyacht METAMORPHOSIS.
Some details of the project were released last summer but the name of the designer was held back. This will be the first time Giorgio Armani has been responsible for the design of a yacht, outside of his involvement with his own two superyachts, 65m (213.2ft) MAIN and 49.9m (163.7ft) MARIU, both built by Codecasa.
The 1,800GT superyacht is being built by The Italian Sea Group’s Admiral brand to an ice-class specification with a full displacement steel hull and a transatlantic range of over 5,500nm. Her onboard amenities will include a main deck swimming pool, large beach club, private spa and helipad. She is expected to be able to accommodate 14 guests across six main deck staterooms and full Owner’s deck.
The fully custom motor yacht is expected to be delivered in early 2024.
The Italian Sea Group is made up of the Tecnomar, NCA Refit and Admiral Yacht brands and its yard within the port of Marina di Carrara is the largest private dry dock in the Mediterranean and the only one capable of accommodating yachts over 100m (328ft) in length.
The Admiral brand is currently involved in some particularly big projects. Aside from METAMORPHOSIS it was recently announced they will be building the 100m (328ft) Project Titanium which is set for delivery in 2025. They are also working on the eco-friendly ‘Blue Marlin’, a 77m (252.5ft) superyacht that is scheduled to be delivered in 2023.
