Gulf Craft delivers flagship Majesty 175, 54m yacht SERENITY M.R.F

The 54m (175ft) superyacht is both the Middle-Eastern yard’s largest-ever build and the world’s largest composite production superyacht.

Gulf Craft has revealed its flagship 54m (175ft) superyacht SERENITY M.R.F has been delivered to her Owner.

Officially announced at the Monaco Yacht Show in 2016, the Majesty 175 model has been a number of years in the making and is also the world’s largest composite production superyacht. She completed her maiden sea trials at the start of this year before making her official public debut in May at Dubai Harbour.

Speaking at the handover ceremony at Gulf Craft’s Umm Al Quwain shipyard, Gulf Craft Chairman, Mohammed Hussein Alshaali expressed his joy, saying: “The Majesty 175 is our jewel superyacht, which demonstrates our capability to manufacture trailblazing vessels fully in-house here in the UAE. The innovative composite design and engineering of the Majesty 175 are a testament to our position as a pioneer in the global yachting industry. We have created an exceptional world-first vessel on our home soil which was four years in the making - despite the challenges of the pandemic. It is a very proud moment to see her leave our facilities and set off on voyages around the globe.”

Interior and exterior design comes from the pen of the Cristiano Gatto Design Studio, the third collaboration between Gulf Craft and the Italian studio in the past 12 months, and naval architecture is by the Massimo Gregori of the Yankee Delta Studio.

Standout features of the 780GT yacht include a 5m (16.4ft) infinity pool at the forward deck, a hybrid skylounge that can be converted into an open sundeck and seven luxurious staterooms that can accommodate upto 14 guests. There are also six large crew cabins and private accommodation for the Captain.

The advanced composite construction of motor yacht SERENITY M.R.F, built using materials such as carbon fiber and vinyl ester, gives her a relatively shallow draft drawing just 2.05m (6.7ft) of water.

Powered by twin MTU engines, the superyacht has a top speed of 16.5knots and a range of 4,000nm at a cruising speed of 10 knots.

Motor yacht SERENITY M.R.F usurps the 2015 delivery of the 47.24m (155ft) superyacht MY ESCAPE as the Middle-Eastern yard’s largest build. It is part of Gulf Craft’s Majesty range that varies in size, with the smallest being 15m (50ft) in length. The range has proved popular with four Majesty 100s, one Majesty 120 and two Majesty 140s all in the order book and set to be delivered over the next 24 months.

Gulf Craft was founded in the UAE in 1982 and has three facilities in the UAE and the Maldives. Like many shipyards it has enjoyed strong sales figures in 2021, revealing a 42 percent growth in its order book in the first six months of 2021 compared to the whole of 2020.
