Palm Beach yacht shows in 2020 postponed

Palm Beach yacht shows become the latest annual yachting events to be affected by the coronavirus outbreak.

Following on from the recent news that shows in UAE have been postponed until October and November, the organisers behind the US based events have concluded the same precautions are deemed necessary.

Responding to the advice of government officials in the States, regarding the current COVID-19 pandemic, it has been decided that all three of the Palm Beach yachting events should be postponed or cancelled.

Originally it was announced the Palm Beach International Boat Show and Superyacht Show Palm Beach were postponed until further notice, with the inaugural Superyacht Experience being cancelled.

Since the initial press release, organisers of the Palm Beach events have been working alongside the City of West Palm Beach to identify new dates.

We can now reveal the Palm Beach International Boat Show has been rescheduled for 14-17 May 2020, whereas the Superyacht Show Palm Beach has been pushed right back to 25-28 March, 2021.

We regrettably have no option but to cancel the inaugural edition of The Superyacht Experience at Rybovich Marina. We had an incredible line-up of superyachts confirmed for the show, overwhelming industry support and strong interest from buyers but health and safety is, of course, the top priority.

In addition to the natural concern of spreading the virus further, the decision was made to cancel and postpone the events in reflection of the travel restrictions throughout Europe.

Italy currently remains on a lockdown and flights from Europe to the US are currently banned for members of the Schengen border-free travel area, meaning many attendees will not be able to attend the popular annual gatherings.
