Pendennis technically launches 35m explorer yacht Project FOX

With storage for Jet Skis, quad bikes, and even a submarine, Project FOX is ready for adventure.

A compact explorer yacht named Project Fox has been technically launched as the vessel reaches the final stages of construction.

With delivery expected in May 2024, the new 35m (115ft) vessel is claimed as a pinnacle of British engineering and interior design, as affirmed by a spokesperson from the Falmouth, UK-based, Pendennis yard.

Noteworthy among the yacht's features is the spacious open aft deck, offering room for two 7.5m (25ft) tenders. Furthermore, there's flexibility to store Jet Skis, quad bikes, and even a sub, catering to the adventurous desires of its future owner.

You don’t have to spend an 80-meter budget to have a yacht that will take you to interesting places. [Project Fox] is not only a platform that’s going to take you to those destinations, it’s the platform that’s going to facilitate your enjoyment when you get there. Whether you want to carry a sub or two big tenders, whether you’re into diving – the boat can be configured to suit the passion and the sense of adventure that the client has."

Q London, the designer, has focused on creating a pared-back and neutral interior that will appeal to a range of potential owners.

The plan focuses on "clean lines on the outside of the boat to run through the interior, which then allows a client to come onboard with any artwork, soft furnishings, light fittings and ultimately create a personal stamp themselves," explained James Ratcliffe, managing partner, Q London.

Underfoot, the yacht will have Chevron oak flooring on the interior and a unique teak substitute, called Tesumo, on the exterior decks. The substitute has almost all of the same properties as real teak, without the environmental footprint.

The sky lounge aboard Project FOX serves as an office space, games room, or additional salon, catering to different preferences. Accommodating up to ten guests in five ensuite cabins, the yacht offers two double-twin convertibles and two full-beam master suites. Additional features include a DJ station, a glass-walled sky lounge, and a dedicated wine fridge, enhancing the onboard experience for guests.

The design team believes the vessel could be a favored choice among charter fleets, a reliable support vessel, or even be used as a dedicated platform for scientific research. Priced at €UR 17,000,000, Project FOX presents an enticing opportunity for future adventures at sea.
