Radical new 40m Sunseeker 133 revealed at Cannes Yachting Festival

British shipyard Sunseeker has announced a 'radical' new model from its Sunseeker Superyacht range, the 40m Sunseeker 133.

Boasting a 448GT interior, the Sunseeker 133 focuses on the innovative solutions of increasing liveability on board while also providing versatility for different owners and their requirements.

As part of the extensive expansion plans headed by new chief executive Andrea Frabetti, the Sunseeker 133 is the latest piece of the puzzle which will the brand double their number of models within the next three years.

Building on the success from her sistership, the Sunseeker 131, the newer model sustains the same premium levels of quality and finish but is described by sales director Sean Robertson to have a 'drastic departure in look'.

Differentiating herself from the rest of the British fleet, the 133 is the first Sunseeker model to feature a vertical bow. Combined with a round semi-displacement hull, the vessel provides an impressive 27% more volume than the 131.

Interiors of the vessel have been designed by renowned British studio Design Unlimited and feature subtle lighting throughout with an emphasis on light, space and technology.

Exterior living is sociable and entertaining for guests onboard, starting with a flexible layout for the beach club area. Owners can choose between two different layouts to fit their own set of requirements.

The first layout favours fun on the waves with a traditional garage which has bountiful space to store a wide selection of water toys and Jet Skis. The second option is to dedicate the entire area to be a full-beam beach club with the Williams 460 SportJet tender being stored within the foredeck spa pool.

Another key feature for the exteriors is the configuration of the sky lounge deck. Guests can move around seamlessly with a pair of parallel side staircases from the foredeck or direct access from the upper deck, allowing for a minimal transition from interior to exterior.

Capable of accommodating up to 10 guests within a five-cabin layout, the Sunseeker 133 is currently scheduled for a 2021 launch.
