Sichertman Yachts and Eric Kuster collaborate on new edition of Libertas tender

The 15m (49ft) limousine tender will feature an exclusive set of design elements and can be ready for delivery in just seven months.

Dutch-builder Sichterman Yachts has announced it is working on a special edition of its 15m (49ft) Libertas tender with international interior designer Eric Kuster.

For the new edition of the limousine tender, Kuster has chosen a set of exclusive design elements, including tones and materials, from which to select. As he explains, “Living at sea is the ultimate feeling of freedom. Sailing on a Sichterman means the ultimate feeling of metropolitan luxury. By using a blend of classic and modern elements, combined with a unique color set and the finest materials, we’ve created an even more attractive variant of this fine vessel.”

The tender still retains the other features that have made it a popular choice for those buying a tender. The walk-around, teak-laid deck is practical and easy to navigate, she features a top speed of close to 40 knots thanks to Volvo Penta IPS propulsion and she also distinguishes herself from other limousine tenders with an extensive range of 500nm.

Another bonus for anyone looking to invest in a tender is, as a result of a smart building process, Sichterman is able to guarantee delivery of the Libertas tender in seven months.

Sichterman’s General Director Bart Rehe is excited to be working with Eric Kuster:

“Together with Eric Kuster, we’re adding a great new member to the Sichterman fleet. I have always been a big fan of Eric and his team and I’m extremely proud that we can join forces in creating this special edition of the Libertas 15M.”

Sichterman and Van Oossanen Naval Architects began to develop the Libertas line in 2018. The Libertas is distinctive from other Sichterman vessels due to its divergent hull shape, specifically designed for high-speed boats whereas its other yachts place the emphasis on cruise comfort. The first Libertas delivered to her Owner in April 2020.

Like Sichterman Yachts, Eric Kuster is based in the Netherlands. As well as interior yacht design, he has worked on several exclusive residential projects around the world, and on commercial interior design projects ranging from legendary Amsterdam club Jimmy Woo’s to Barcelona’s Camp Nou Stadium.
