Reinstating the updated layout and attractions that made their inaugural appearance at the 2021 edition, Southampton promises to put on a show of shows as yacht enthusiasts head to the British motor yacht hub.
Launched back in 1969, the Southampton International Boat Show (SIBS) has grown to become the most popular British yachting event, annually attracting over 600 exhibitors covering all aspects of the nautical lifestyle.
The 2022 edition will see many returning features that have long been a part of the SIBS heritage, but it will also welcome the addition of the Quayside Club.
Taking a leaf out of the book from multiple other boat shows around the world, the Quayside Club is a VIP facility offering three levels of additional benefits to really make the most out of the show.
Announced in June 2022, the Southampton Quayside Club is said to provide a complimentary menu of snacks and drinks as well as parking, an exclusive lounge and special privileged experiences.
Additional entrances to the show that were integrated into the show layout last year return to once again allow direct access to the main city centre and the Westquay shopping centre, but extra measures are being added to facilitate the new VIP experience.
As one of Europe's largest purpose-built marinas, the designated zones throughout the show provide ease of access to all areas and will of course lead you to the newest attractions that made their debut in 2021.
On The Water proved a high appeal attraction in 2021, with these new water-based zones, namely Get Afloat and Try A Boat provide opportunities to get up close to watersports of all shapes and sizes and get out on the water in a curated selection of craft.
Awaiting the arrival of the stars of the show, Mayflower Park is almost ready to welcome the crowds again, but before then, get familiarised with some of the attending models by viewing and comparing all the available new and used yachts for sale.
