Cannes Yachting Festival 2022: The fastest boats on show

Fans of adrenaline-fuelled boating will be busy this September as an exciting collection of super-fast boats head to the 2022 Cannes Yachting Festival.

Mixed in with the biggest sailing boat display for any yachting event around the world and an eclectic range of glistening motor yachts, there are some super fast hidden gems at Cannes that really pack a punch. 

In an event that welcomes the return of the reimagined layout for an enhanced overall experience at one of Europe's biggest yachting events, the Cannes Yachting Festival kicks off the new yachting season with over 100 global debuts and a broad range of exhibitors showcasing the latest and most innovative products on the market.

Getting around new destinations needn't always be slow and relaxing, take a look at these fast dayboats that can double as speedy tenders for any superyacht adventure. 

Wally Power 58

Now embarking on a new journey as a Mk 2 model, the Wally Power 58 shouts premium quality with its strong muscular exterior and noticeable Made In Italy finishes. 

Taken over by the Ferretti Group, Wally now continually pushes out masterpiece after masterpiece and this updated model is no exception.

Traveling full throttle at 38 knots, the Wally Power 58 is powered by triple engines and can accommodate up to two guests in one cabin. With steps leading into the water and fold-down waterside terraces, this captivating model from Wally is not only a speedster but also a floating haven for relaxation in the sun.

Otam 58 GTS

Back on the scene following a revamp with designs by Giuseppe Bagnardi of the Rome-based design studio BG, the reimagined Otam 58 GTS looks every part 'fast and furious' and certainly looks like it means business.

Boasting an aerodynamic profile enabling incredible performance, the Otam 58 GTS has a dominating character certainly not for the faint-hearted. 

Packed with three cabins, a galley and a lounge/dining area this dayboat is an absolute must-see for thrill seekers.

Frauscher Boats 1212 Ghost

Eye-catching from the start with its more than generous teak deck on the bow, the Frauscher 1212 Ghost is a neat, compact dayboat that holds everything it needs to act either as a dayboat or a speedy tender to accompany a larger superyacht. 

Constructed with a straight bow in order to maximize space and comfort onboard, the innovations really make the best of the room available making it more than adequate for the two guests it can accommodate overnight. 

Complete with a swim platform, lounge/dining area, wetroom and tinted glazing this speedy number from Frauscher is definitely one to watch.

Evo Yachts R4 XT

Launched in 2021, the Evo R4 XT is striking in aesthetical appeal. Without hesitation, it's easy to see that the fold-down waterside terraces which in turn create a beach club are a major selling point. No sand bar? No problem!

As if that wasn't enough, the entire stern platform has the ability to be completely submerged, providing more functions for the aft as a launch pad for watersports toys or to assist guests in the water.

Designed in collaboration between Valerio Rivellini and Besenzoni, this sporty number will be one of the only dayboats you see with a walkaround feature. Making her debut at Cannes this year, the Evo R4 XT should absolutely be a part of your visit.
