Ranger Tugs Boats History & Heritage

Since 1958, Ranger Tugs has been a stalwart in crafting enjoyable, practical, and high-quality boats.

Maintaining its family roots, the Seattle-based shipyard is currently under the leadership of Dave Livingston, who not only serves as the chief designer but also brings over 50 years of boat-building expertise. His son, John, holds the position of CEO.

Dave's extensive experience includes collaborations with renowned names like Bayliner, Wellcraft, and Larson, paving the way for his journey with Ranger Tugs. Over the past five decades, Dave has pioneered his variable deadrise planing hull designs and secured various patents for cruising and safety features.

These innovations are seamlessly integrated into Ranger Tugs' delightful, charismatic, and highly capable trawler-style boats, offering a distinctive proposition entirely dedicated to enhancing the on-water experience.
