On Deck
The key upgrade that he really liked involved the seating arrangement. Originally, the boat had a walk-around seating arrangement, which was useful, but had two problems. Firstly, if the seating was converted into a sunbed, there was no other place to sit. Secondly, one couldn't relax and put their feet up with the previous layout.
To solve these problems, Fairline introduced a hoop of seating that could be folded into a larger sunbathing area while still leaving some seating space. This change allowed for more comfortable relaxation, which was viewed as a game-changer.
Other appreciated changes included the open back instead of a solid transom, a built-in ladder, and a massive storage locker that was perfect for inflatable kayaks or boat cleaning gear. Other features that caught attention included the hardtop with an opening section, a wet bar with a sink and barbecue, and a fridge.
Nick also noted the changes in the helm, which was moved to the middle instead of the center, allowing for a better view. The dashboard now had space for twin screens and featured added analog dials. The boat's stainless steel and lighting details impressed as well, as they added a feeling of quality to the boat.
Interior
The interior was also more impressive than expected for a sporty, high-performance boat, featuring wide steps with stainless steel trim, a large dinette area, and a double bed. There was also a well-equipped heads with a sink, toilet, and shower. The interior even included a galley with a sink, a bin, a fridge, and storage for cutlery and crockery.
Performance
The boat is powered by a pair of V8 Volvo Penta 430 horsepower petrol engines, giving the boat a speed of nearly 50 knots.
In Summary
Overall, Nick was very taken with the Fairline F//Line 33, especially the new cockpit layout. He felt the boat had improved significantly with the new layout and upgrades, and was eager to spend more time on it in the future.
