Viking builds big, tough and powerful offshore sportsfishers and the Viking 58C is all of those things. A serious yacht for serious use, it can hit 42 knots while looking after its guests with real charm.
The models in this range have been in production for over 25 years, so you can be assured that each Viking 58C is built on a proven platform of success. Production of the first generation Viking Yachts 58C started in 1991 and ran for over 9 years. The second and latest generation Viking Yachts 58C was announced in 2018.
The latest generation can comfortably maintain a cruising speed of 36 knots via its twin 1,400hp MAN V12-1400 engines. In terms of range, the Viking Yachts 58C has a standard range of 595 nautical miles (nm).
A specialist offshore sportsfisher that also makes a fine cruising yacht, the 58C is designed to run fast and true in big sea, adding a comfortable, customisable three-cabin layout to look after guests for days or even weeks at a time.

Market Price Insight
YachtBuyer’s Market Watch reports that there are currently 4 Viking 58C yachts listed for sale globally, with prices spanning a wide range due to generational differences and features. First generation models (Gen 1, 1991 - 2000) are the most affordable, priced between $299k and $695k, with an average asking price of $569.5k. In contrast, the newest second generation models (Gen 2, 2018) are likely to be priced much higher, reflecting their advanced technology, more modern design, and newer construction. There are currently none for sale globally. The arrival of the second generation model has influenced the pricing of first generation yachts, as their updated styling, features and cutting-edge appeal shift buyer preferences, resulting in more competitive pricing for older models. This trend highlights how innovation drives market dynamics for the Viking 58C line.

Over the past three years, the Viking 58C, across its two generations, has exhibited price trends shaped by market demand, vessel condition, and features. The first generation models have the longest average time on the market, sitting for about 213 days, suggesting lower demand for the older features, and on average, they end up 11.58% lower than their initial asking price. On average, the second generation models remain on the market for the shortest duration—around 106 days—unsurprising due to their more modern features and updated styling but they don't tend to need to lower the price in order to sell.
Viking Yachts started development on the 58C in 1991 and the first model rolled off the production line in 1995. The second generation was launched in 2018.
