The 44.65m motor yacht Blue Sky was delivered to her owners in 2012 by Dutch shipyard Feadship. Her naval architecture and exterior design comes from the drawing boards of De Voogt, while Sinot Yacht Design is responsible for her interior design.

Design & Construction

Designed around a full displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 9.2m beam and a 2.7m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 499 GT (Gross Tonnes). The design also incorporates a heli-pad.

Construction started in early 2009. This was the sixth yacht built on the F45 Vantage design. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in January 2013 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in February 2013.

Accommodation

Blue Sky offers accommodation for up to 10 guests in 5 suites. She is also capable of carrying up to 9 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MTU (12V 2000 M70) 1,055hp engines, motor yacht Blue Sky is capable of reaching a top speed of 14 knots, and comfortably cruises at 13 knots. With her 40,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,500 nautical miles at an economic speed of 10 knots making her well capable of long range and transatlantic voyages. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters.

In addition, a swim platform provides easy access to the ocean. The yacht can house plenty of nautical toys and accessories, with a well-appointed tender garage for storing her impressive locker.
