Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement w/ bulbous bow aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 8.3m beam and a 2m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 340 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Launched in June 2020 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in August 2020.
Exterior Design
Club M's silhouette is distinguished by a bold, straight bow that is as much a statement of contemporary aesthetics as it is a practical feature enhancing the vessel's spatial offerings. This design choice allows for the maximization of deck space, providing an expansive upper deck that boasts a fluidity of movement from bow to stern, unencumbered by the interruption of steps—a rarity for a yacht of this size and a feature highly appreciated by those with a penchant for seamless onboard living.
The upper deck offers a continuous connection from bow to stern, a deliberate choice to facilitate effortless navigation across the flexible deck spaces. This design choice eliminates the need for level changes or staircases, enhancing the on-board experience with unobstructed movement.
Club M's exterior spaces are designed with practicality and simplicity in mind. The upper deck features a hot tub with glass inserts at either end, allowing for unimpeded views through the structure. The deck area around the hot tub showcases the attention to detail in the yacht's craftsmanship, with a design process that took two months to perfect.
The yacht's grilling area and bar provide an interactive space for guests, with split bars that include a sink, cooling space, and a substantial grill. The flexibility of this space is further enhanced by drop-down windows and a convertible sunroof system, allowing it to be fully enclosed if desired. Twin tables on the upper deck offer additional versatility, with the ability to rotate and expand for larger gatherings.
For navigation, Club M includes both an upper deck helm station and a fully equipped pilot house. The flybridge helm features essential controls, including two large multifunction displays, a signature Baglietto steering wheel, throttles, and thrusters, all designed for effective handling and visibility.
The ease of movement around the yacht is further emphasized by wide symmetrical side decks typically found on larger vessels, underscoring the yacht's commitment to spaciousness and comfort. These decks also house discreetly designed wing stations for precise maneuvering, which can be concealed when not in use, maintaining the yacht's clean lines.
On the foredeck, guests will find a multifaceted space conducive to relaxation and socializing, complemented by a mix of sunbathing areas and seating arrangements. This area is also designed with adjustable tables and full canopies for adaptable use according to weather conditions or guest preferences.
Club M's functional design extends to the practical aspects of yachting as well, with a foredeck that includes a concealed storage space capable of housing a jet ski, alongside essential anchoring and docking equipment.
Moving to the aft section, the cockpit is expansive, purposely devoid of fixed cabinetry to maximize open space. It features a large, adjustable table beneath an extensive overhang for protection from the elements. Further enhancing the aft deck is a beach club that integrates seamlessly with the tender garage, providing an extended platform when at anchor.
Interior Design
The interior of Club M, by Achilles Salvani, stands out for its cohesive use of soft edges and fluid shapes, a deliberate departure from the yacht's exterior lines. Materials such as limed oak, dark eucalyptus, and polished fascias are prominent, with parchment chosen in lieu of traditional leather. This choice of materials displays a level of interior detailing indicative of Italian craftsmanship.
Upon entering the saloon, guests are greeted by a reception area that introduces the interior's flowing forms and organic contours. Salvani's signature style is evident in the curved sofas that foster a sociable atmosphere, contrary to linear seating arrangements. Functional elements such as wine fridges and concealed televisions ensure utility without compromising the saloon's aesthetic integrity.
The dining areas on Club M manifest Salvani's design through the use of adjustable twin tables that can be reconfigured into a single large dining surface. Accompanied by detailed cabinets and a pop-up television, the space is designed for both flexibility and aesthetic appeal.
Moving to the helm, the pilot house is equipped with expansive multifunctional displays (MFDs), providing a comprehensive suite of navigational tools. The helm station on the upper deck offers a commanding view, with the Baglietto steering wheel, throttles, and thrusters laid out for ease of operation. Despite the reduced height of the windscreens, the helm remains a functional space, supplemented by the flybridge helm for superior visibility.
The galley serves as the functional heart of Club M, where practicality meets professional standards. It features ample countertop space for food preparation, significant oven capacity, and robust extraction facilities, all illuminated by natural light from an adjacent window. The layout facilitates efficient movement to the crew quarters, enhancing operational flow.
Lighting throughout Club M is thoughtfully integrated, with a range of fixtures from subtle ceiling installations to polished stone bedside lights. This approach to lighting not only accentuates the yacht's interior features but also contributes to the ambiance of each space.
Accommodation
Club M, a Baglietto-built yacht, offers sophisticated accommodation for up to 10 guests in five suites comprising an owners cabin, two double cabins and a twin cabin.
The owner's suite, situated on the main deck, showcases a full-beam configuration that affords ample space and privacy. This stateroom features a dedicated study area, a spacious bedroom, and an impressive ensuite bathroom. Unique to the owner's suite is a private balcony, a feature uncommon in yachts of this size, providing an exclusive outdoor retreat. The bathroom, directly benefiting from natural light through a large overhead glass panel, includes separate shower and toilet cubicles, twin sinks, and a combined walk-in wardrobe. This space is not only a bathroom but also a dressing area.
Below the main deck, Club M offers four additional guest cabins, providing versatile accommodation options. One of the cabins is designed with flexibility in mind; it can serve as a gym or be converted into a guest cabin with Pullman bunks. This space includes an ensuite bathroom, maintaining the high standard of guest comfort found throughout the yacht.
The remaining guest cabins are situated amidships and include two VIP staterooms that mirror each other in layout and design. Each stateroom is equipped with ample storage, a polished stone-lit area, and a bespoke TV that doubles as a mirror when switched off. The ensuite bathrooms in these cabins continue the trend of luxury and attention to detail, complete with separate shower and toilet areas, twin sinks, and elegant finishes.
Club M is also capable of carrying up to 6 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Performance & Capabilities
Power and performance are pivotal elements in the sophisticated engineering of the Baglietto Club M. This yacht is equipped with twin Caterpillar C32 engines, which are renowned for their reliability and power output. When operated at full throttle, Club M is capable of reaching a top speed of 17.5 knots, offering a brisk and responsive cruising experience.
For those seeking extended voyages, Club M does not disappoint. Reducing the speed to 12 knots significantly increases the yacht's range, enabling it to cover a noteworthy distance of 3,500 nautical miles. This capability makes transatlantic journeys not only possible but also comfortable and efficient.
The yacht's maneuverability is enhanced by the inclusion of a robust 100-horsepower bow thruster, which provides precise control and stability, even in challenging conditions with up to 25 knots of beam wind. This feature ensures that despite its size, Club M maintains excellent handling in close quarters and during docking procedures.
Attention to detail is evident in the engine room, where practicality converges with meticulous design. A unique aspect here is the use of transparent Perspex lids over the pipework, allowing for uncomplicated visual inspections without the need to remove any coverings. This thoughtful approach streamlines maintenance checks and underscores the yacht's commitment to operational transparency and safety.
