Design & Construction

Designed around a fast displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 9.6m beam and a 2.85m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 760 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the fifth yacht built on the 55m Steel design. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in September 2020 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in April 2021.

Exterior Design

The exterior design of Moskito features a raked bow, contributing to its sleek and efficient profile. The deck is constructed from teak, which is known for its durability and classic appearance. Both the hull and the superstructure are painted white, creating a clean and cohesive look.

The boot top and the area below the waterline are painted black, providing a sharp contrast to the white hull and superstructure. The hull finish is completed with Awlgrip, a choice that ensures a smooth and polished surface. This combination of materials and colors gives Moskito a straightforward and elegant appearance.

Moskito features a 100-square meter sun deck that includes a Jacuzzi, an al fresco dining area, ample seating, and a bar. The hardtop provides necessary shade, all complemented by 360-degree views.

An additional seating area is located at the bow, suitable for enjoying views while cruising. The beach club on the lower deck includes sun loungers, a wellness area, and direct access to the ocean. It caters to both watersports enthusiasts and those seeking relaxation.

On the lower deck aft is a beach club with a steam room and a sauna, as well as a swimming platform so that guests can easily dive into the waves below.

Interior Design

The interior design of Moskito, crafted by Bannenberg & Rowell, emphasizes comfort and practicality with a modern aesthetic. The spaces are characterized by the use of natural tones and carefully planned layouts. The flooring throughout the yacht features Smoked Oak chevron parquet, while the surfaces are finished with white Thassos, grey St. Laurent, and ivory Travertine marble. Warm bronze accents provide subtle highlights.

The main saloon and dining area are designed for functional living. Large floor-to-ceiling windows ensure the space is well-lit with natural light. The area includes a custom grey oak dining table by Davidson London, suitable for formal dining for ten guests. The surrounding timber pillars, finished in a cool white, add structural elegance without overwhelming the space.

The sky lounge offers versatility with nearly panoramic windows and glass sliding doors that create a connection between indoor and outdoor areas. The interior design here incorporates pale smoky timber, "verre eglomise" window frames, and a soft leather ceiling raft. This space can adapt for various activities, from watching a movie to enjoying pre-dinner drinks.

The main staircase connects the three decks with spiraling leather steps, leading to gallery-like halls. These halls are finished with silky sycamore, providing a backdrop for artistic elements between the dark eucalyptus-framed stateroom doors.

Accommodation

Moskito features sophisticated and spacious accommodations designed by Bannenberg & Rowell. The main deck houses the owner’s stateroom, an expansive 82-square meter suite that provides a luxurious retreat. The suite includes a king-size bed, a gently radiused bulkhead, and an en-suite bathroom with a full-size bathtub, separate shower, and dual vanity counters.

For guest accommodations, Moskito comfortably hosts up to ten guests across five staterooms, all equipped with en-suite facilities. These staterooms are located on the lower deck and include two double cabins and two twin cabins. Each cabin features refined details such as curved corners and bulkhead paneling designed to mimic the look of blinds, extending from floor to deckhead.

She is also capable of carrying up to 13 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MTU (8V 4000 M63) 8-cylinder 1,000hp engines, motor yacht Moskito is capable of reaching a top speed of 15 knots, and comfortably cruises at 13 knots. With her 100,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,500 nautical miles at 13 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters.

Wellness

MOSKITO’s beach club is home to both a steam room and a sauna, as well as a swimming platform for easy access to a cooling dip in the sea.

Amenities

As well as a beach club and jacuzzi, guests can choose from a range of other relaxation spots across MOSKITO’s three decks. She features a sophisticated main salon and a skylounge with stunning views.
