Design & Construction
Designed around a full displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 12.46m beam and a 3.85m draft. The yacht is built over 4 decks with an internal volume of 1,790 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Construction started in mid 2021. This was the eighth yacht built on the Amels 242 design. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in November 2023 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months.
Exterior Design
The exterior design of Nome, crafted by Amels, showcases a flag blue hull paired with an oyster white superstructure. This color scheme ensures Nome is distinctive and visually appealing, whether at sea or docked.
The presence of multiple decks accommodates extensive dining and entertainment areas, alongside a large aft swimming pool, enhancing the outdoor experience for guests. Additionally, the dedicated owner's deck includes a Jacuzzi, providing a private outdoor space for relaxation.
Interior Design
The main entranceway greets guests with a notable wall adorned with semi-precious agate blue stones, setting a refined but welcoming tone for the spaces within. This choice of material is complemented throughout the yacht by various blue marbles, alongside blue mosaics that are thoughtfully placed within the Wellness Area, creating a cohesive and tranquil environment.
Accommodation
Nome offers accommodation for up to 12 guests in 6 suites comprising an owners cabin, 2 VIP cabins and 3 double cabins. Additionally, there is accommodation for up to 4 members of the owners staff and security team. She is also capable of carrying up to 19 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (3516C) 2,029hp engines, motor yacht Nome is capable of reaching a top speed of 16 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots. With her 175,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 5,000 nautical miles at 12 knots.
