The Amels 242 Limited Edition series continues to impress with the imminent delivery of the stunning superyacht NOME. Spotted on sea trials in the Netherlands, NOME marks the eighth addition to this prestigious lineup.
Back in November 2023, NOME made headlines as one of two yachts launched on the same day from the Damen Yachting headquarters in Vlissingen City. Sporting an eye-catching flag blue hull and oyster white superstructure, NOME's exterior showcases the Tim Heywood-designed 242 series.
One of the most striking features of NOME is the use of a unique dark grey color scheme, accentuated by vertical lines and stretches of windows that flood the interior with natural light. From the main entrance adorned with semi-precious agate blue stones to the blue marbles and mosaics scattered throughout the wellness area, attention to detail is evident at every turn.
Equipped with twin Caterpillar engines, NOME achieves a cruising speed of 15 knots and a top speed of 16.5 knots, ensuring smooth and efficient voyages. Standout amenities onboard include a dedicated owner’s deck with a Jacuzzi, a large aft swimming pool, and a lower deck wellness space. NOME provides accommodation for up to 12 guests across six staterooms.
Since its debut in 2016, the Amels 242 series by Tim Heywood has reshaped the large superyacht market, surpassing expectations with its expansive spaces and lavish lobbies. The eighth installment further solidifies the series' status, offering owners a refined ocean-going platform that merges charm and sophistication.
Noteworthy yachts like SYNTHESIS, boasting bespoke interiors by Winch Design and nominated for the 2022 BOAT Design and Innovation Awards, and PLVS VLTRA, meaning 'farther beyond' in Latin, exemplify the series' commitment to luxury, performance, and style. With each yacht in the Amels 242 series delivering a distinctive blend of luxury and functionality, NOME continues this tradition of excellence as it approaches its official delivery.
