Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 9m beam and a 2.75m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 499 GT (Gross Tonnes).

The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in December 2023 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in April 2024.

Exterior Design

Constructed under the project name Oslo24, this 50m (164ft) round-bilge steel motor yacht exemplifies the elegance that can achieved when opting for a 'Smart Custom' yacht. The experienced owners chose this established design in December 2020 as the basis for a yacht that perfectly mirrors their lifestyle, taste, and intended use.

The overall dynamic of Cinderella Noel IV exudes a sense of forward momentum, as its sleek lines converge towards the steeply raked bow. The openings in the gunwale add a distinctive touch to its bow design. The foredeck is fundamentally an operational space, with anchoring hardware, crane, and elevated stowage for the tender and watercraft. Wide teak decks provide convenient access to this predominantly crew area.

The smart grey hull and topsides contrast the pristine white upper deck and the distinctive side feature element amidships. Adorning the hull are slim vertical rectangular portholes, positioned below a prominent strake. A generous expanse of glazing along the main deck mirrors the curvature of the superstructure, offering uninterrupted views from the interior. Notably, the deck level overhangs extend over the aft deck guest relaxation areas, where an open feature within the superstructure on the quarter of the main deck aft adds visual interest, accentuated by the metal of the guard rails.

Geared for exploration, the yacht has been further customized to feature reinforced insulation for operations in high northern latitudes. Added comforts include heated floors, winter tents, and mosquito nets. In addition to venturing into higher latitudes, the yacht's cruising itinerary encompasses navigating fjords, rivers, and canals. To facilitate this, the yacht is equipped with a folding mast, enabling her to navigate bridges with a clearance of 13.4m (43.9ft).

Cinderella Noel IV has the elegance of a 'Smart Custom' design with reinforced insulation for high latitude explorations, featuring heated floors and a folding mast.

Interior Design

The interior decor embodies a refined and understated expression of quiet luxury and Scandinavian chic. Soft furnishings in white, greige, and taupe contrast with high-gloss Indian rosewood and dark oak flooring, forming a backdrop for accents of deep blue and musk-green. Specifically designed for navigating the fjords and waterways of high northern latitudes, the interior scheme harmonizes with the natural surroundings where Cinderella Noel IV will cruise.

The yacht's interior features fine leather panels from Foglizzo Atelier depicting antique sea charts of the owners' favorite cruising areas. A recurring motif of gentle ripples in the woodwork, both vertically and horizontally, enhances the connection with nature. Carefully chosen iconic furniture pieces from Cassina, Paola Lenti, Toso, and others contribute to the ambiance without unnecessary extravagance. The result is a tasteful and harmonious atmosphere, with materials and finishes selected for their durability and ease of maintenance, appealing to multiple generations of families simultaneously.

Accommodation

Cinderella Noel IV offers accommodation for up to ten guests in five suites. The owner's suite is located on the main deck forward, while there is also a full-beam suite and office on the lower deck, where the remaining guest cabins are also found.

Additional personalization was incorporated on the wheelhouse deck, as the owner designated the captain's cabin to serve as their private office. To ensure comfort during extended passages, a fold-out bed was included in the cabin's layout.

For the crew there is a separate crew outdoor deck area, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable environment for the nine-strong crew. This staffing level is chosen to ensure both operational effectiveness and an exceptional guest experience.

Performance & Capabilities

Determined to minimize the vessel's environmental impact, the owner has chosen a hybrid propulsion system that embodies the best of current technology. Heesen's hybrid system stands out with undeniable advantages over traditional diesel propulsion, ensuring that Cinderella Noel IV is not only cleaner but also quieter and more efficient than comparable conventional yachts. The yacht will cruise comfortably at 12 knots and has a top speed of 15 knots.

The hybrid drivetrain can utilize diesel engines and electric motors, either together or independently, for both propulsion and hotel needs. While similar systems in automotive engineering focus on energy conservation and emissions reduction, hybrid propulsion at sea has broader goals. Silent cruising and zero vibration significantly elevate comfort levels on board, particularly appealing during night passages.

At the core of the hybrid system are the yacht's twin MTU 8V4000 M63 (IMO Tier III) main engines, each paired with a water-cooled, 135kW Danfoss electric motor on the same propeller shaft. This configuration provides operational versatility, flexible power management, and redundancy through its three cruising modes:

SILENT MODE for low speeds

Electric propulsion only.
The main engines are shut down, and the E-motors drive the propeller shafts.
The main generators supply electrical power for the E-motors, as well as the yacht’s systems and stabilizers.
This mode is characterized by its serene silence and absence of vibration, thanks to the fully insulated and boxed generators.

ECONOMIC MODE with power take-off (PTO):

Direct diesel propulsion.
The main engines drive the prop shafts for yacht propulsion.
The main generators are inactive, while the E-motors operate in power take-off (PTO) or "shaft generator" mode, generating electrical power to supply the yacht’s systems and stabilizers.
Ideal for extended passages, this mode preserves generator working hours, extending their lifespan and simultaneously reducing fuel consumption.

CRUISING MODE – without PTO:

Direct diesel propulsion only.
The main engines drive the prop shafts for yacht propulsion.
The main generators furnish the required electrical power for the yacht’s hotel load and stabilizers.

Wellness

The main deck aft terrace features a glass-bottomed pool with water jets over the beach club, accompanied by an expansive wellness suite. Enhanced by the forward seating area, complete with a fire pit, it offers an ideal spot for outdoor relaxation, regardless of the temperature.
