105m Oceanco superyacht H3 embarks on sea trials

Oceanco's 105m (344ft) superyacht H3 has been spotted on her sea trials as her extensive refit continues.

Originally built in the year 2000, superyacht H3 has been undergoing a full-scale rebuild at her home shipyard, in a project that has been called a first of its kind.

Previously known as various other names including Al Mirqab, Indian Empress and Project H, superyacht H3 has had extensive changes made, not only to her interiors, but also in regard to her superstructure and technological integrations.

Oceanco has also commented on advancements in her sustainability and safety measures.

This is the first time a superyacht has been recreated to face the future as a wholly new, contemporary vessel.

Featuring new interiors penned by Reymond Langton, superyacht H3's turnaround time has been reduced by around a year, thanks to being an extensive refit project in comparison to a new build.

The owner has had considerable input into the reimagining of the superyacht, and Richard Hein, who has been acting on behalf of the owner's representative of The A Group, has commented how the "unimaginable transformation" is about "seeing the potential for all vessels, rather than starting from a blank sheet of paper each time".

Previously featuring spacious social areas, an extensive main salon and a state-of-the-art cinema facility, the precise alterations to the interiors onboard superyacht H3 are yet to be revealed, though more details are expected later this year.

World's Largest Yachts

With an impressive Gross Tonnage of 3,521GT, superyacht H3 is set to join the updated YachtBuyer YB100 Largest Yachts by GT list, placing eight spots lower than the traditional Top 100 based on length, thanks to her enormous interior space.
