Bodrum-based shipyard Aegean Yacht has launched the second unit in its 26m (85ft) Aegean Explorer series, christened HEKATE. This 187 GT explorer yacht is constructed in steel and aluminum, featuring an entirely in-house design and engineering aimed at versatility for global travel.
The design and concept for the Aegean Explorer series were developed entirely in-house, drawing on Aegean Yacht's 50 years of experience, extensive knowledge, and deep understanding of owner needs. All naval architecture and marine engineering are handled by the company's own design office and engineers. The yacht's intelligent and stylish design maximizes exterior deck space and interior volume, distinguishing it significantly from other motor yachts of similar size.
The first of the M26 explorer yacht series, UKIEL, launched in 2022.
The standard accommodation configuration accommodates 12 guests in six cabins, including three full-beam suites. The upper deck owner's stateroom features a private aft terrace with a sunbathing and lounging area. The lower deck includes one VIP cabin and two twin cabins.
Customization options within the M26 range allow for flexible accommodation configurations. The standard setup accommodates 12 guests in six cabins, but opting for a generous sky lounge on the bridge deck can reduce guest capacity to 10. Crew quarters provide privacy for four in individual cabins.
External areas, such as the bridge deck forward and aft of the sky lounge, as well as the aft deck and swimming platform, offer ample space for relaxation and enjoyment. The interior features warm oak furniture and parquet floors, complemented by stainless steel accents and white lacquered ceilings, creating an elegant yet minimalistic ambiance.
The Aegean Yacht M26 explorer yacht was shortlisted for the Interior Design Award Under 40 Metres at The International Yacht & Aviation Awards 2023.
Powered by twin 650hp MAN diesel engines, the explorer yacht HEKATE is currently for sale. The yacht will achieve a top speed of nearly 13 knots, a cruising speed of 11 knots, and boasts a range of over 3,500nm.
