Iguana Yachts most advanced model yet will be used as a tender to 142m (466ft) superyacht NORD.
The 9.2m (30ft) Iguana Commuter can navigate through choppy waters before her landing gear is deployed to give a smooth and stable ride on virtually any terrain.
She features an adjustable hardtop that can transform from a watertight helm to a sunshade in seconds, an electric ladder for easy boarding and a small cabin with a day bed and ample storage.
The tender has also been fitted with a 300hp diesel outboard engine, the first time in France a recreational boat has been fitted with such an engine.
The diesel engine also made her more appealing to the customer and Owner of the Lurssen superyacht NORD as it means they will only need to carry a single fuel on the mothership.
Superyacht NORD, previously known as ‘Project Opus’ was announced initially in December 2015 and was first seen on the water in October 2018, before being delivered to her Owner last month. Upon her delivery she took her place in the ten largest superyachts by length ever built.
Built to PYC standards NORD can accommodate up to 26 guests across her 20 cabins, which are spread across six decks. Among the many highlights of the 9,250GRT superyacht are two helipads, a diving and sports center and a huge main deck pool.
Iguana Tenders has become renowned for its amphibious tenders. Tracks that deploy from the hull allow the vessel to drive into and out of the water on any terrain. Amphibious tenders give the user access to difficult areas that conventional tenders would struggle to reach, including the shallowest of waters.
