Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 19.5m beam and a 5.15m draft. The yacht is built over 6 decks with an internal volume of 10,154 GT (Gross Tonnes). The design also incorporates a heli-pad.

Construction started in mid 2017 with the keel laid under the project name 'Opus'. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in July 2020 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in February 2021.

Exterior Design

Nord's bold silhouette is characterized by a revolutionary bow design, which has set a new precedent within the industry. The striking black-painted arch that sweeps across her aluminium superstructure is a testament to the innovation and creativity that Nuvolari-Lenard is renowned for.

Nord's imposing presence is further enhanced by her Ice Class hull, signifying not only her capability to navigate through the most challenging of icy waters but also her remarkable strength and engineering prowess. The design team has meticulously integrated functionality with elegance, resulting in a vessel that exudes the robustness of a warship while maintaining the sophisticated allure of a gentleman's yacht.

The yacht's exterior spaces are thoughtfully planned to offer an array of luxurious amenities and features. Her expansive beach club and tender garage provide ample storage for an impressive collection of tenders, a submarine, and an ROV, ensuring that guests can explore the surrounding waters with ease. The largest tender stretches an impressive 15 meters in length, accompanied by a dedicated watersports and dive centre on the lower deck.

Nord boasts not one, but two helicopter landing pads, providing exceptional convenience for guests. The primary touch-and-go helipad is positioned at the bow, designed to resemble the deck of an aircraft carrier. Meanwhile, the secondary helipad is situated atop the bridge deck, complete with a sophisticated hangar that offers protection for the owner's helicopter during long voyages. This hangar, when deployed, seamlessly integrates with the yacht's design, maintaining her sleek profile.

Onlookers are captivated by the extraordinary 25-metre-long swimming pool on the main deck aft, a rarity even among superyachts of this caliber. This is complemented by a spa pool on the upper deck, providing a sanctuary of relaxation for guests. The yacht's bridge wings and the purposeful arrangement of satellite domes on her mast further accentuate her commanding and masculine stance.

Nord, with her distinctive aesthetic and robust capabilities, is poised to become an iconic figure among the finest superyachts of the world.

Interior Design

The integration of a gym, spa, and sauna within the yacht's interior layout ensures that wellness and relaxation are at the forefront of the onboard experience. A dedicated beauty salon further enhances the level of pampering available to guests, ensuring that they are catered to with the utmost care. For entertainment, Nord boasts a state-of-the-art cinema, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the magic of the movies while surrounded by the serenity of the ocean.

The communal areas of Nord are designed to foster a sense of togetherness, with ample space for guests to congregate, dine, and revel in the yacht's extensive collection of amenities. The dining areas, both formal and casual, are conceived to accommodate a range of culinary experiences, from intimate dinners to grand banquets, all while offering breathtaking views of the maritime panorama.

The designers at Nuvolari-Lenard have not only focused on the aesthetic appeal but also on the functionality and flow of the interior spaces. The inclusion of an elevator ensures seamless movement between decks, adding to the convenience and accessibility for all on board.

Performance & Capabilities

Nord is powered by a quartet of diesel MTU engines, each a 20V 4000M 93L 20-cylinder engine, delivering a colossal 5,765 horsepower at a peak rotational speed of 2,100 revolutions per minute. These engines are renowned for their reliability and power, ensuring that Nord can navigate the most demanding maritime conditions with grace and efficiency. Thanks to her impressive powertrain, Nord is capable of achieving a top speed of 20 knots, a remarkable feat for a vessel of her size and stature. At her cruising speed of 15 knots, Nord provides a serene and smooth experience, allowing guests to indulge in all the amenities and luxuries onboard while the world-class crew ensures an impeccable journey.

Addressing the comfort of those on board, Nord is fitted with cutting-edge stabilizers. These zero-speed stabilizers are key in enhancing onboard comfort, particularly when the yacht is at anchor. Whether traversing tumultuous waters or resting in a secluded bay, Nord's stabilization system maintains an environment of comfort and serenity.

The construction and outfitting of Nord underscore Lürssen's unwavering commitment to excellence in yacht building.
