Delivered in 2022, Blue is a 160m motor yacht built by German shipyard Lurssen. Her interior design and exterior styling comes from the drawing boards of Terence Disdale, while Lurssen is responsible for her naval architecture.

Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 22.5m beam and a 5.7m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 14,785 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Construction started in late 2018 with the keel laid under the project name 'Project Blue'. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in February 2022 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in June 2022.
Exterior Design

With a sharply raked bow, she moves gracefully through the water, embodying both style and impressive volume. Subtle curves define the decks, contributing to a poised and timeless aesthetic.
Blue's exterior features blend practicality with aesthetics. The prominent bow helipad facilitates air transfers, complemented by a smaller helipad aft for added convenience. The covered pool on the main deck offers a private retreat, protected from the elements, while the stern's bathing platform invites water-based activities.
Disdale's design incorporates unique security doors and distinctive finishes on sliding doors, enhancing the yacht's exclusivity. The emphasis on feminine elegance, per the client's request, discreetly enriches the exterior, ensuring Blue stands as a timeless entity, unaffected by passing trends.
Interior Design
Terence Disdale's masterful touch is evident in both the exterior and interior design of yacht Blue. The exterior showcases contemporary styling, while the interior embraces a refreshing blend of tradition and modernity. Natural tones prevail, with cream blending with warm light browns, complemented by deeper hues that add depth and visual intrigue.
Intricate detailing defines the interior, where plain dining tables boast scalloped edges, and occasional tables showcase styling on the legs rather than overshadowing the tabletop. The seating arrangement reflects the owner's preference for extensive, long curved bench sofas, encouraging intimate conversations among guests. A soft golden glow emanates from integrated ceiling lights, creating a warm and inviting ambiance across the socializing spaces.

Terence Disdale's expertise shines through in his ability to highlight focal points with strategic use of color, including deep dark wood and ebony accents that catch the eye. One of the standout custom features is Terence Disdale's skillful use of metals to infuse depth and interest. A prime illustration is the staircase wall, embellished with hand-carved bronzed paneling, and a bar intricately fashioned in mottled silver, adding a textured dimension to the design.
Accommodation
Blue accommodates a maximum of 48 guests with 24 well-appointed suites, thoughtfully organized into distinct zones, each crafted with unique character and purpose to cater to every need and preference.
The owner's deck stands out at the heart of Blue's accommodation, featuring the exclusive owner's suite. Twin balconies provide expansive views of the marine surroundings, showcasing a design with custom furniture and unique finishes, synonymous with Lürssen's and Disdale's renowned craftsmanship.
On the VIP deck, additional accommodations are designed for the most discerning guests, offering an elite level of comfort.
Impressively, the crew quarters can house up to 80 crew members, ensuring a first-class guest experience.
Performance & Capabilities
Blue features a highly efficient Diesel-Electric Hybrid Propulsion Concept developed by Lürssen’s engineering specialists. The yacht incorporates an electric Azimuth Pod Drive, usable separately or in conjunction with the PTI units and propeller shafts. To minimize noise and vibration, and to reduce nitrogen oxide levels, the yacht is equipped with a modern exhaust after-treatment system.
Propelled by twin diesel-electric MTU (16V 1163 M84) 16-cylinder 6,975hp engines, Blue reaches a top speed of 21 knots and cruises comfortably at 18 knots. With 1,080,000-liter fuel tanks, she boasts a maximum range of 5,000 nautical miles at an economic speed of 17 knots.
