Monaco Yacht Show 2022 Review - The Best Yachts

We look back at some of the most notable yachts at the 2022 Monaco Yacht Show and there were a lot to choose from.

Confirming its position as the most spectacular and important superyacht show on the planet, Monaco showcased a staggering collection of yachts including many global debuts.

Showcasing a diverse fleet of 30-100m+ superyachts from the largest shipyards to boutique builders, the latest Monaco Yacht Show delivered a shot to the senses few other events can manage.

To go with the spectacle, there was a lot of positivity from yacht builders, brokers and, importantly, buyers, with many negotiations taking place and purchases sure to be concluded in the coming days and weeks.

The overall feel of the yachts on display was of modern style underpinned with a timeless quality, shipyards from every country bringing a smooth and confident vision of design and cruising ability.

Picking out our favourites from the many yachts in attendance was tough but it is easy to see why we chose them.

Come Together

Standing at 60m (197ft), Come Together made her global debut at this year's event and certainly didn't disappoint her visitors.

Showcasing another masterpiece by Espen Oeino, the execution of the design by Amels has proved flawless and is a sharp sophisticated build.

Capable of accommodating up to 12/14 guests, she is a force to be reckoned with thanks to her elaborate collection of amenities and eye-catching geometric exterior design.

Part of the Amels 60 Limited Editions range, Come Together features an on-deck Jacuzzi, a large swim platform, multiple alfresco dining options and a decent array of watersports equipment.

Lusine

A true modern classic from Heesen, LUSINE was the first delivery for the shipyard in 2022 and showcases exterior design and engineering penned by Omega Architects, with interiors designed by Sinot Yacht Design.

Capable of reaching maximum speeds of 17.5 knots flat out, with a cruising speed of 13 knots, the full custom yacht has already made quite an impact on the industry by winning the Best Custom Yacht (over 40m) award at the World Yachts Trophies ceremony.

Constructed with a steel hull and an aluminium superstructure, LUSINE is a prime example of Heesen's excellence at delivering full custom projects, as well as its, perhaps, better-known semi-custom models.

Complete with a cylindrical elevator to connect the decks, interiors are modern with art-deco-inspired touches, the design created an incredibly complex but also highly practical layout that gives guests not only superb privacy but also their own lounges. Spacious, elegant and wholly impressive inside and out, LUCINE certainly deserves her place at the very top of the Monaco Yacht Show roster.

Her interiors are opulent and abundantly lit by natural daylight filtering through vast expanses of glazing. The layout is seamless and has a natural flow throughout, with plenty of areas to socialize, relax or isolate from the rest of the guests.

Entrusting Nuvolari Lenard for both her exterior and interior designs, the elongated lines of the custom superyacht will stand out in every marina she docks in.

Sporting a foredeck touch-and-go helipad, enough storage for multiple tenders and a sophisticated interior, there is a lot to like about AHPO, as well as the free-flow deck space, alfresco dining options and sumptuous cabins.

Superyacht ELANDESS at sea

Abeking & Rasmussen had a very strong show, with multiple yachts and new concepts but the crowning moment must have been the return of ELANDESS, an impeccable expression of what the yard is capable of.

A 2018 model with a striking blue hull, both interior and exterior designs are from the drawing boards of Harrison Eidsgaard and is powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (3516 C DI – TA S.C.A.C. Series II) 2,001hp engines.

Owning the ability to meet a range of 6,000 nautical miles, she offers enticing transoceanic voyages that are complete with access a top-of-the-range gym, a generous pool and an abundant helping of social areas throughout.
