Zeelander launch latest 17m Z55 model for US client

Proving the continual popularity of the Z55 model, Dutch shipyard Zeelander has successfully launched a new hull of the 17m design.

Launched on time despite the setbacks from the global COVID-19 pandemic, the eye-catching flag blue hull is set to arrive with its new owner in June 2020.

Now going through the final stages of construction at the Groot-Ammers facility, the latest Z55 hull is powered by a pair of 1,000hp Volvo Penta IPS 1350, with a top speed of 42 knots.

Featuring a deep-V hull and exterior design by well-known designer Cor D Rover, the Z55 has an integrated Seakeeper stabilizer to eliminate the chance of rolling, while also maximising comfort during transit.

Interior renderings for the new Z55 are yet to be taken, however, Zeelander confirms the design has been penned by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design.

Describing neutral tones throughout, the main salon benefits from abundant natural light through extensive surrounding windows with both interior and exterior dining options available.

Overnight accommodation can cater to up to six guests in a three-cabin layout on the lower deck. The composition promotes the inclusion of a full-beam master suite with an ensuite.
